Obituary for Tracie Hogan

Tracie Lynette Fielder Hogan, age 55 of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 10:00AM on Friday, December 29th with Bro. John Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Mallory’s Cemetery with Marty Hogan, Cody Hogan, Ronnie Fielder, Chris Hampton, Troy Hogan, and Hunter Bailey serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 28th from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Friday from 9:00AM until the hour of service at 10:00AM.

Tracie was born on June 20, 1968 in Nashville, Tennessee to Ronnie & Belva Kimbro Fielder. She was a cosmetologist and earlier in her career worked as a medical transcriptionist and for the State of Tennessee with the Secretary of Treasurer. She was a long- time member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church and was very active by scheduling events, trunk or treat and VBS. She loved her family very much.

Yates; nephews, Randell (Elyse) Hogan, Garrett (Cara Beth) Hogan; nieces, Shelby (Michael) Kreger, Sloane (Tyler) Kreger, and Summer (Colton) Hudgens.

Emersyn Kate Orr went home to be with Jesus after only 32 minutes of life on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Saint Thomas Midtown. She was born to Kayleigh Michelle Brown and Meacham Hill Orr, Jr. “Mitch”. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Michael Brown; paternal grandparents, Meacham Hill Orr & Eva E. Orr.

She is survived by her parents; Mitch Orr and Kayleigh Brown, both of Springfield, TN; sister, Peyton Kemper, White House, TN; maternal grandmother, Sherrie Brown, Cedar Hill, TN; several aunts; numerous cousins and family.

Obituary for William Vernon Lemmons

William Vernon Lemmons, age 86 of White House, TN passed away, Saturday, December 23, 2023 at White House Health Care & Rehab. He was born April 10, 1937 in McKenzie, TN to Klester Vernon & Willie Myrtle Patterson Lemmons. He worked as an auto parts manager for several car dealerships before his retirement. He enjoyed walking on the greenway, taking photos of nature and spending time outdoors. He tried his crafting skills with painting, glasswork as well as woodworking. He was a member of White House First United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Mary Deck, Louise Kapps and Dortha Goodell. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carolyn, Lemmons, White House, TN; son, Michael (Leah) Lemmons, Springfield, TN; 2 grandchildren, Taylor Lemmons and Aiden Lemmons.

Elsie Yvonne Vaughn, age 88 of White House, TN, formerly of Taneytown, MD passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Vitality Living in Hendersonville. She was born June 6, 1935 in Taneytown, MD to Charles O. & Anna Bishop Foreman. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taneytown. She also worked for many years as a school bus aide for special needs children. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Sid) Naylor, White House, TN and Stacy Jo (Greg) Critzer, Abingdon, MD; 4 grandchildren, Niko, Braeden, Casey and Luke; 3 great-grandchildren, Carter, Miles and Roxy; and her cat, Bee.

There are no services or visitation planned. Mrs. Vaughn will be cremated and her ashes will be placed in Maryland with her husband.

Melvin Eugene Earls Jr., age 66, of Springfield, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3pm Wednesday, December 27th in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Bro. David Evans officiating.

Mr. Earls was born February 3, 1957 in Nashville, to the late Melvin Eugene and Alice Ruth Miller Earls Sr. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and he loved English Bulldogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, the people who raised him, Hugh and Ollie Mae Sawyers.

Obituary for Tony McGuire

Tony McGuire, age 75 of Pleasant View, Tennessee, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Clarksville.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Saturday, January 6, 2024 between the hours of 1:00pm to 4:00pm with military honors at 3:00pm.

Mr. McGuire was born on February 21, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky to the late Manley & Sylvia McGuire. He was a U.S Army veteran serving in the Vietnam war. He was retired after 31 years as an over the road truck driver. Tony had many talents tinkering and refurbishing tractors. He dearly loved his family and his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Mark McGuire; and step-son, Duane Bryant.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Melody McGuire; son, Roderick Dorn; daughter, Deborah (Aaron) Moore; brothers, Bob (Wilma) McGuire, Denny (Carol) McGuire, Truman (Sharon) McGuire, Bruce (Charlene) McGuire, Lonnie (Jean) McGuire, Boyd (Geraldine) McGuire, Mike (Melinda) McGuire, and James Daniel; sister, Dianna (Lonnie) Moore; grandchildren, Abigail Moore, Ian floral square(Ashley) McGuire, Kelsey McGuire, Landon McGuire; and great-grandson, Samuel McGuire.

Ashton Marcell McGowan, age 27, of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, died Thursday, December 21, 2023, at his home after a long, hard fought battle with substance abuse.

Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 10:00AM on Thursday, December 28th, with Gary Voorhies officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with family & friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 27th, from 11:00AM until 7:00PM and again on Thursday from 9:00AM until the hour of service at 10:00AM.

Ashton was born on May 13, 1996, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Bo & Mayme McGowan. He worked in the manufacturing business and was a huge fan of the Memphis Grizzlies. Ashton also loved playing basketball & video games with his children.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Marcell Palmore & Dale Hunter.

Debra Lynn Hoffman. age 69 of Cross Plains passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at her home. She was born December 7, 1954 in Rockford, IL to Gerald and Alisha Clinkenbeard Kuehne. She worked for the Metro Health Department VItal Records Department before her retirement. She enjoyed flower gardening, watching and feeding the hummingbirds and was a cake decorator for more than 40 years. She was a member of Generation Church in Portland, TN.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sandra Brady. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Leo Hoffman, Jr., Cross Plains, TN; son, Robbie Hoffman, Cottontown, TN; daughter, Amie (Mishon) Pore, Franklin, KY; brothers, Alan Kuehne, Burlington, WI and Terry (Heidi) Kuehne, Watertown, WI; 4 grandchildren, Katlyn, Renee, Abagale and Braden; 3 great-grandchildren, Levi, Zane and Ellie Mae.

Terry Wade Johnson, 52, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday December 12, 2023.

Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday December 20th at 1:00 p.m. in the Mt. Sharon Cemetery with Pastor Gary Dillard officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers. The family received friends at the graveside service on Wednesday.

Terry was born April 10, 1971, in Houston, TX. He had formerly worked as an assembly technician and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenbrier. Terry loved yard work, gardening, playing basketball, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was preceded in death by his father: Virgil Wayne Johnson, by his brother: Timothy Wayne Johnson, and by his grandparents: Fred and Allie Mae Malone, and Eva Dean Odom.

She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, cooking and spending time with her family.

He was the owner and operator of Construction Southeast, Inc. for over 25 years in White House, TN before his retirement. He was a member of White House First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed building and helping his wife her flower gardening, watching Survivor and all kinds of television shows. He enjoyed spending time with his family most of all.

Frances Genelle Smith, age 79 of Springfield, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Morningside of Springfield.

Her wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Mrs. Smith was born September 5, 1944 in Springfield to the late Virgil and Velma Rawls Pratt. She was a member of Mt. Sharon Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was an organist and a pianist and was retired from Unarco where she worked in the payroll department. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Smith; a daughter, Julie Richardson; and brothers, Joe, Billy, and Glenn Pratt.

The family received friends at the church on Tuesday from 4:00PM until 7:00PM and again on Wednesday from 11:00AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.

Mrs. FitzPatrick was born on October 20, 1963 in Oakville, Ontario, Canada to the late Eric & Dorris Jackman Snair. Her most important job was staying home to take care of her children. She loved to work puzzles and the Christmas holidays. Jan was a member of Calvary Bible Church.

Obituary for Edwin Angelo Anthony Jr.

Edwin A. Anthony Jr., age 79, of Adams, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Monday, December 18th, in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Pastor Isaac Bourne and Bro. Billy Vogle officiating. Burial followed in the Bellwood Cemetery with John Paul Anthony Jr., Evan Anderson, Austin Anderson, Jason Baggett, Mark Bourne, and Erol Rockey serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Winters, Mike Callis, Bob Arms Sr., and Bill Holt.

The family received friends from 10am until time of the service at 2pm Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Anthony was born November 18, 1944 in Robertson County to the late Edwin A. and Opal Wetton Anthony Sr. He was a farmer all of his life and a member of the Adams Fisherman’s Club, and Adams United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Anthony was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tasha Morris.

Obituary for Ni’Davion Lamontez Covington

Ni’Davion Covington was born on September 27th,2006 to Naia Wingfild and David Covington. On the day he was released from the hospital he went home with Lashunda And Louis Taylor Jr. who raised him the past 17 years.

Ni’Davion attended public school at White House High School as a senior due to graduate in May of 2024.

He loved drawings, Wednesday Adams, Sonic the Hedgehog, Spider-Man and anything pertaining to his school.

He is survived by his parents Lashunda and Louis Taylor Jr./Naia Wingfild and David Covington. Grandparents Barbara Marthal, Oddie(Shirley) Wingfild, Brenda Lake and Michael(Maria) Garner. A variety of sisters, brothers, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ni’Davion was loved dearly by many and his genuine innocent soul will be missed.

Obituary for Barbara-Anne Brewer

Celebrating the life of Barbara Anne Brewer, of Springfield, Tennessee who passed away in her sleep on December 12, 2023. She was the daughter of Roy and Bernadette Easter and was born on January 7, 1946.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Thomas R. Brewer. Barbara is survived by her children from a previous marriage: Kathryn Munro and Elizabeth Mason. Later in life she and Tom adopted Brittany Brewer Johnson (Ricko). Tom’s daughter, Vicky Grantham also survives her.

She is survived by 11 grandchildren, Jenny and spouse Scott Elwood, Troy and spouse Kathleen Grantham, Brian and spouse Ashley Munro, John Munro and finance Kristie Hite, Shawanda Mason, Aniya Brewer, J’Myrion Johnson, Braidyn Abbott, Harmonie Kinnard, Jerricko Johnson, Jr, Ja’Ceyon Johnson. floral squareIn addition, Barbara is survived by her brothers, Brian (Carole) and Roy Easter (Linda), as well as her sisters: Grace McGilton (Randy) and Berti-Jo Leymeister (Bruce). She was predeceased by her siblings: Michael Easter, Bernadette (Bernie) Lewis, Virginia (Ginny) Easter, and Kathleen Easter-Knott.

Barbara worked for the Department of Defense Civil Service starting out as a secretary at the Washington Navy Yard and worked her way up to contracting specialist for the Navy, Air Force, and Army in the Washington DC area. In her spare time, she loved to go camping, playing cards and games, crocheting, gardening and dancing. She was very active in many surrounding churches in the Springfield and White House areas; most recently serving as Secretary at Christ Worship Center in White House. Needless to say, she was very well loved by family and friends from all over and loved to actively live life to the fullest, thanking our Lord for each and every day.

Barbara is being cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date at Christ Worship Center in White House, TN. She will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery next to her late husband and love of her life Thomas Brewer (date to be determined).
