Stephen Ralph EllisStephen Ralph Ellis, 41, of Greenbrier, died Monday December 11, 2017 at his home. Memorial services will be conducted Friday December 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Chapel Union Church in Ridgetop with Dr. Jeff Keyes and Reverend Jon Briggs officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday at the church from 12 noon until service time.

Stephen was born June 23, 1976 in Robertson County. He had worked in factory work and was of the Baptist faith. Stephen enjoyed playing video games and loved music.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Sue Jones Ellis. Julia Pauline Mansfield Norman, 93, of Clarksville, died Monday December 11, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday December 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Warren officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in the Lincoln Cemetery in Fayetteville with Kenneth Ross Vickrey III, Jackson Lawrence Parker, Johnny Parker, Dale Beach, and James Parker serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Norman was born March 2, 1924 in Lincoln County to the late Zack Thomas and Eula McCrory Mansfield. She was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught last in Robertson and Montgomery counties. She obtained a Bachelors degree from both MTSU and ETSU, a Master’s and EDS degrees from APSU. She was a member of Mt. Sharon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Norman floral squareenjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Lawrence “Bill” Norman, and by seven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Evangelist Frances Muzzaferro officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Sharon Cemetery with Jason Carney, Anthony Clardy, Rodney Newman, Brandon White, and Bruce Hudgins serving as pallbearers. The family received friends at the funeral home Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM until the hour of service.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Sharleen White Carney of Nashville and a brother, Howard Carney of Whites Creek.

Mr. Cherry was born September 8, 1959 in Logan County, KY to the late Ramey Basil Cherry and Ethel Mae Robertson Cherry Broadrick. He was a member of Cross Plains United Methodist Church and was a mechanic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Dorris.

He was born March 24, 1946 in Macon County, TN to Clifton East and Ruth Geraldean West Smith, Sr. He worked as an iron worker and was employed by Tate Fabricating before spending his later years selling cars for Gallatin Motors. He loved mowing, fast cars and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. He loved cooking and was great cooking on the grill. He loved his dog Molly and was always the life of the party.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lanny Smith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Claude R. Taylor; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mr. Spicer’s remains will be cremated following the funeral service.

Mr. Spicer was born February 18, 1950 in Springfield to the late William Henry and Beulah Mae Phillips Spicer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, worked in the Maintenance Department at Holley Carburetor and was a member of the New Life Ministries Church.

In addition to his parents Mr. Spicer is preceded in death by his brother, William Phillip Spicer, his sister, Virginia Gayle Dunn, and his nephew, James Michael Allgood.

James Walter Carter Sr.James Walter Carter, Sr. age 91 of Hendersonville, TN. passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017. He was a longtime member of the Goodlettsville Church of Christ and a former member of the Madison Church of Christ. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and the Battle of Okinawa on Easter Sunday 1945. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was an avid Atlanta Braves Baseball Fan.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Mary Frances Carter. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Yvonne Deaton; son, James W. Carter, Jr.; floral squaregrandchildren, Haley Nicole Carter, Michael Scott Deaton and great-grandson Kannen Deaton.

His family received friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5 and on Wednesday, December 6 from 10 a.m. until his Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville.
