Stephen Ralph Ellis, 41, of Greenbrier, died Monday December 11, 2017 at his home. Memorial services will be conducted Friday December 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Chapel Union Church in Ridgetop with Dr. Jeff Keyes and Reverend Jon Briggs officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday at the church from 12 noon until service time.
Stephen was born June 23, 1976 in Robertson County. He had worked in factory work and was of the Baptist faith. Stephen enjoyed playing video games and loved music.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Sue Jones Ellis. Stephen is survived by

Obituary for Pauline Norman
Julia Pauline Mansfield Norman, 93, of Clarksville, died Monday December 11, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday December 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Warren officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday in the Lincoln Cemetery in Fayetteville with Kenneth Ross Vickrey III, Jackson Lawrence Parker, Johnny Parker, Dale Beach, and James Parker serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Norman was born March 2, 1924 in Lincoln County to the late Zack Thomas and Eula McCrory Mansfield. She was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught last in Robertson and Montgomery counties. She obtained a Bachelors degree from both MTSU and ETSU, a Master’s and EDS degrees from APSU. She was a member of Mt. Sharon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Norman enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Lawrence “Bill” Norman, and by seven brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Norman is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Paula Norman Paxton of Clarksville, Pollyanna and Johnny Parker of Clarksville, sister: Onie Goode of Fayetteville, grandsons: Kenneth Ross Vickrey III and wife Jaymee, Jackson Lawrence Parker

Obituary for Bobby Wayne Carney
Bobby Wayne Carney, age 74 of Nashville, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at his home. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Evangelist Frances Muzzaferro officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Sharon Cemetery with Jason Carney, Anthony Clardy, Rodney Newman, Brandon White, and Bruce Hudgins serving as pallbearers. The family received friends at the funeral home Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Carney was born December 6, 1942 in Davidson County to the late Link A. and Ruby Gafford Carney. He was a printer. In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Sharleen White Carney of Nashville and a brother, Howard Carney of Whites Creek.

Danny Wayne Cherry, age 58 of Cross Plains, died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at his home. His remains are being cremated and a memorial service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Cross Plains United Methodist Church with Pastor Diana Dewitt officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 2 PM until the hour of service.
Mr. Cherry was born September 8, 1959 in Logan County, KY to the late Ramey Basil Cherry and Ethel Mae Robertson Cherry Broadrick. He was a member of Cross Plains United Methodist Church and was a mechanic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Dorris.
He is survived by his brother, Edward Cherry and wife Donna of Springfield; sisters, Linda Henderson and husband Mike of Cross Plains and Kathy Phillips and husband Randy of Destin, FL; granddaughter, Nickiela Morgan Forewright; step-brothers, Joe Braodrick and wife Rhonda of White House and Gary Broadrick and wife Judy of White House; step-sister, Glenna Hicks of New Deal; cousins, Becky Conner and husband Derrell of White House and George Montgomery of Goodlettsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Obituary for Clifton East Smith, Jr.
Age 71 of White House passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at his home. He was born March 24, 1946 in Macon County, TN to Clifton East and Ruth Geraldean West Smith, Sr. He worked as an iron worker and was employed by Tate Fabricating before spending his later years selling cars for Gallatin Motors. He loved mowing, fast cars and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. He loved cooking and was great cooking on the grill. He loved his dog Molly and was always the life of the party.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lanny Smith.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Smith, White House, TN; daughters, Wendy (Oscar) McGaskey, Gallatin, TN and Tammy (Jeff) Lemley, White House, TN; sister, Alicia (Joey) Cherry, Knoxville, TN; 5 grandchildren, Amber, Lexi, Katie, Helena and Chandler; great-grandson, Holden.

Mrs. Taylor was born May 31, 1929 in Portland, Tennessee to the late Willie O. and Allene Carter Freeman. She was retired from the Metro Nashville Water Department and was a member of Pleasant View First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Claude R. Taylor; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Kenneth Ray Spicer, age 67, of Springfield, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at NHC Healthcare. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother David Evans officiating. Mr. Spicer’s remains will be cremated following the funeral service.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10am until the hour of service at 1pm.
Mr. Spicer was born February 18, 1950 in Springfield to the late William Henry and Beulah Mae Phillips Spicer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, worked in the Maintenance Department at Holley Carburetor and was a member of the New Life Ministries Church.
In addition to his parents Mr. Spicer is preceded in death by his brother, William Phillip Spicer, his sister, Virginia Gayle Dunn, and his nephew, James Michael Allgood.
Mr. Spicer is survived by his step-daughter, Lena (Billy) Smith of Greenbrier; brother, David (Kathy) Spicer of Pleasant View; sisters, Ann (Ronnie) Lee of Dickson and Kelly (Randy) Allgood of Springfield; and step-grandchildren, Savannah Smith, Kaylynn Smith and Graycee Smith.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her first husband, William White, her second husband, James Adams, her brothers, Rayburn Cobb, Bud Cobb, Ralph Cobb and Charles Cobb, and her sister, Edna Ellis.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her brother, Wallace (Peggy) Cobb of Fayetteville; sister, Jean Doss of Springfield; and many loving nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by 4 brothers, J.B., Chet, Reed and Charles Brewer; sister, Mavis.

Mr. Shadix was born April 23, 1939 in Douglasville, GA to the late John W. and Clara Wright Shadix, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy where he worked as an electrician and was a member of the Pleasant View First Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents Mr. Shadix is preceded in death by his sisters, Doris Smith, Inzer Winslett and Betty Plowman and his brother, John William Shadix, Jr.
Mr. Shadix is survived by his wife, Paulette Walker Shadix; sons, John W. (Michelle) Shadix, III of Sango and Tracy Allen (Carol Renee) Shadix of Joelton; sister, LaFeise (Jerry) Edwards of Douglasville, GA; and grandchildren, Melanie Ann Shadix, Thomas Allen Shadix, II and John William Shadix, IV.

James Walter Carter, Sr. age 91 of Hendersonville, TN. passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017. He was a longtime member of the Goodlettsville Church of Christ and a former member of the Madison Church of Christ. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and the Battle of Okinawa on Easter Sunday 1945. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was an avid Atlanta Braves Baseball Fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Mary Frances Carter. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Yvonne Deaton; son, James W. Carter, Jr.; grandchildren, Haley Nicole Carter, Michael Scott Deaton and great-grandson Kannen Deaton.
His family received friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5 and on Wednesday, December 6 from 10 a.m. until his Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville.
