Michael Terry Burrow, Sr., 57, of White House, Tennessee, passed away on November 24, 2024 in Nashville. Born May 20, 1967, in Carthage, Tennessee, he was the son of Mary Elizabeth Jenkins Burrow Kelly and the late Terry Jarrell Burrow.
Throughout his life, Michael was known for his love of hot rods and motorcycles, finding joy in the thrill of going fast. He captured the hearts of those around him not only with his passion for life but also with his fondness for Eddy’s Chocolate Ice Cream, which brought him simple pleasures. Michael was a devoted fan of the Miami Dolphins, proudly cheering for his team with unwavering loyalty.
Michael’s personality shone brightly; he was a quiet soul who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. He was always on the move, embodying a tireless work ethic and a desire to ensure the happiness of others.
He leaves behind his loving family, including his cherished children: Michael Terry (Erin) Burrow, Jr., Dillon Lucas Burrow, and Sierra Corynne Burrow. His mother, Mary Elizabeth Burrow Kelly, along with his sister, Deborah Shannon Burrow, and brother, Jeffrey Jarrell (Gina) Burrow, will carry his memory in their hearts. Michael was a proud grandfather to Jude Isaac Burrow, Rosie Noel Ferello, and Lennon Marie Burrow, who will remember him fondly.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Michael’s life will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in White House, Tennessee, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and reminisce about a man whose impact on their lives was immeasurable.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gail MacDougall Johnson, a cherished member of her family, who left this world unexpectedly on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Sevierville, Tennessee. Born on March 10, 1948, in Port Huron, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth MacDougall and Lucille Macevoy MacDougall.
Gail enjoyed a distinguished career as an accountant, where her meticulous nature and dedication were widely recognized. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she was known for her infectious positivity and fun-loving spirit. Gail had an extraordinary ability to appreciate the little things in life, bringing joy and warmth to everyone she encountered. Her determination and forgiving nature were qualities that endeared her to many and left a lasting impression.
Throughout her life, Gail cultivated a variety of passions. She loved going on cruises, where she created beautiful memories with friends and family. Her love for sewing showed in the many thoughtful gifts she made for others, while her garden blossomed under her attentive care, reflecting her nurturing character. Cooking was another cherished pastime, where she delighted in sharing meals with loved ones, creating not just food but cherished moments around the table.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Lynn Lerner.
Gail leaves behind a loving family who will miss her deeply. She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Charles Johnson; her sons, Adam (Megan) Forgacs and James Charles (Vicky) Forgacs III; her brother, Hugh (Barbara) MacDougall; her sister-in-law, Darlene Domen; her stepchildren, Kevin Johnson and Charles Johnson; her grandson, Liam Forgacs; and her step-grandchildren, Keely Johnson and Nick Johnson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville, TN. This will be followed by a memorial service at the same location from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Gail’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her. While her physical presence will be greatly missed, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Obituary for Betty Poole
It is with deep sadness and profound respect that we announce the passing of Betty Hanson Poole, a cherished mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and proud United States Veteran, on November 11 at the age of 85. She passed peacefully at her residence in Thomson, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14th at Springfield United Methodist Church, Springfield TN. Address: 511 S. Oak St, Springfield, TN 37172. Visitation will be from 11am – 1pm, and the Service will start at 1pm in the main sanctuary.
Betty was born in Bowdon, Georgia, but lived most of her life in Springfield, Tennessee and Thomson, Georgia. She graduated with a BS Degree in Nursing. Betty served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She was stationed at numerous bases, including locations in Germany, Nebraska, Kansas, South Carolina, and Virginia, where she contributed to a variety of key assignments. Her dedication to her work and her leadership in the Air Force earned her the respect of colleagues and the admiration of all who knew her. Throughout her military career, Betty was a trailblazer for women in the Air Force, demonstrating exceptional skills in nursing and leadership. Her service was not only a reflection of her strength and discipline, but also her deep sense of duty to the nation and her fellow service members.
After her military service, Betty continued to inspire those around her through her volunteer work and community involvement. She found great joy in supporting the community through her church (Springfield United Methodist) and various charities. She valued and fostered her relationships with family and friends. Betty had a passion for adventure and was proud to proclaim she had visited all 50 US states and six of the seven continents, always dismissing the 7th, Antartica, as a place she had no desire to visit – Betty was not a fan of cold weather! Within the last five years, she bravely adventured to the Holy Land, Egyptian pyramids and Brazil.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry A. Poole; parents, Lloyd and Sibyl Hanson; and her two brothers, Charles Hanson and Barry Hanson. She is survived by her two sons, Clint Poole, and Robert Martin; her daughter, Melinda Chesnut; her sister, Charlotte (Larry) Hinman; and her grandchildren, Hallie Chesnut, Ian Chesnut and Brian Chesnut. She was adored by many nieces and nephews.
Betty will be remembered for her selflessness, courage, and devotion, qualities she embodied in every aspect of her life. She leaves behind a family and community that will carry on her legacy with pride.

Obituary for William Robert “Bob” Arms
William Robert “Bob” Arms, age 83 of Adams, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Alive Hospice Nashville surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Father Frank Ruff officiating. Interment will follow the service at Adams Cemetery at Red River Baptist Church with Alexander Horton, Andy Arms, James Mack Fletcher, Ricky Fulps, Scotty Cavender, Brad Holt, Greg Davis, and Mike Rosemore serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Dean Bagby, Donnie Edwards, Bill James, Neil Carter, and John Holt. The family will receive guests on Tuesday November 26 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
Bob was born on Monday, July 28, 1941 at Glen Raven in Cedar Hill, TN to the late William Frank and Junie Morgan Arms. At age 13 his family moved to Indian Bend Farm in Adams, TN. He was a graduate of Jo Byrns High School Class of 1959. Upon completion of his apprenticeship he became a Millwright at the Millwright Local 1544 of Nashville, Tennessee and was later a part of Millwright Local 1102 of Michigan. He was married to Barbara Jean Fletcher Arms for 61 years and they were blessed with two children. Bob worked for Rapistan Demag for 39 years as a superintendent of construction. While there he installed some of the largest conveyer projects in the world. He retired in 2002 and enjoyed life on the farm. He loved fishing, his family, and keeping the farm manicured. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends with cookouts and BBQ’s at the shop and loved when people stopped by for a beer. He also liked driving around on his gator to visit neighbors.
Surviving him are his wife: Barbara Jean Fletcher Arms of Adams; daughter: Cathleen and husband Scott Horton of Goodlettsville; son: William Robert (Little Bob) Arms, Jr. and wife Wanda of Hendersonville; by his grandchildren: Maci Cathleen Arms, Carley Danielle Horton, Saydi Beth Arms McGrath and husband Owen, Alexander Scott Horton, and Natali Faith Arms; brother: Duncan Wayne Arms, and sister in law: Linda Wiseman Arms.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Jim Arms, and David Arms, grandparents: Frank and Emma Copeland Arms, Lawrence Craig and Susan Hodge Morgan, and his in laws: James Harley Fletcher and Betty Manns Fletcher. Obituary for Shatoya Woodard
Shatoya Roshel Woodard of Madison, Tennessee departed this earthly home November 19, 2024. She was born in Springfield Tennessee on January 11,1988 to Deanna Leavell Dunn and Leo Woodard. She professed her hope in Christ at an early age at Keysburg Baptist Church in Olmstead, KY under the leadership of Pastor Leo Utley. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee.
Shatoya began her education in Robertson County School System, but letter completed her education in Rutherford County School system. She was a 2006 graduate of Lavergne High School in Lavergne TN. She was a graduate of Culinary Arts School in Indiana, and attended Vol-State Community College. She was employed at Skyline Hospital in Nashville TN.
Growing up she attended Silver Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Smyrna TN where she was an active member of the youth choir, Sunday School, and bible study. She enjoyed playing basketball and fast pitch softball. “Shaq Diesel” as she was known for her dominance in the paint and her aggressive play. She was a tough cookie on the court, but had a very kind heart because she did not mind helping those that needed help especially those who could not help them self. Growing up she enjoyed watching movies, shopping, listening to music and playing with her friend and family. Her love were her nieces and nephews where she spoiled them non-stop. Aunt TT is what they called her. They loved her as much as she loved them.
Shatoya was proceeded in death by her grandfather Lee Leavell, Uncle Steve Leavell, and Cousin Rosalyn Osborne. She leaves to mourn her mother, Deanna (Rev. Obituary for James McKee
James Roy “Jim” McKee, age 77 of Springfield, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at his home, surrounded by all his family and close friends.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, November 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Tony Cobb, Danny Borthick, Jeff Walker, and Tim Harris officiating. Burial followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Royce Holman, Marty Schmidt, Matt Eggleston, Jeff Walker, Mike Gallagher, John Fox, David McKee, Todd Williamson, and Tyler Williamson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Williamson, Mike Nadler, The Legacy Men’s Golf Group, The Hackers, and The Bruisers. The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 until 7 PM and 11 AM until the time of service on Friday. The family requested that to honor his love of golf that you come dressed in your favorite golf attire.
Mr. McKee was born August 2,1947 in Nashville to the late J.R. and Mildred Kathryn Jones McKee. He was one of the most avid golfers one would ever find and he spent his last 12 years carting his grandson Tyler all over the country playing junior golf. He loved spending time with his family, playing cards & Sudoku, and was constantly tinkering or fixing something. He was an entrepreneur, having worked in real estate, construction and car sales among other things. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth McKee.
Surviving him are his wife, Patricia “Pat” Phillips McKee of Springfield; son, David McKee of Franklin; daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Todd Williamson of Springfield; grandchildren, McKenzie Williamson, Tyler Williamson, and Cameron McKee; and sister, Nancy Dorris of Springfield.

Alice Rhea Hoback, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on November 15,2024, at the age of 88. Born on August 5, 1936, Alice devoted her life to her family and her work, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Alice had a successful career as a buyer at Opryland, where her keen eye for detail and dedication to her role made her a respected figure in her field. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she embodied the spirit of a loving Christian lady, known for her warm-heartedness and generous nature. She was a long time member of Faith is the Victory Church.
Her passions included gardening, fishing, and painting, which not only brought joy to her life but also inspired those around her.
Alice’s proudest accomplishments were her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Granny.” She found immense joy in their laughter and milestones, and her influence will forever be etched in their hearts.
She is survived by her devoted husband the love of her life, Mr. Robert Hoback and they married on April 13, 1956; her children, Robert Hoback and Becky Hoback Eddie; her grandchildren, Christan Hall (Randon), Rebecca P’Simer (Sam), and Brent Essary St John; and her great-grandchildren, Maysen, Desi, Watson, Liam, and Lucy. Alice is also survived by her siblings, Robert Crabtree (Faye) and Nancy Marrison (William).
In addition to her family, Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lucille Crabtree; her granddaughter, Alisan Eddie; and siblings, Sue Ryan, Patsy Crabtree, and Minnie Louise Crabtree.
Alice Hoback’s remarkable life was a tapestry woven with love, devotion, and creative expression. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her impact will live on through her family, who carry her spirit forward in their own lives.

Mrs. Carney was born June 17, 1935, in Nashville, to the late Henry Clay Brown, and the late Nannie Marie Swan Brown. She worked in the accounting department of the Haywood Company for many years, and was a member of Green Ridge Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carney was preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Tino” Carney; daughter, Beverly Ray; sister, Thelma Haggard; and brothers, Tommy Brown, Ronnie Brown, Roy Brown, Doug Brown, and James Brown.
She is survived by sons, Harry (Cheryl) Carney, and Gary (Sondra) Carney; daughters, Debbie (Fred) Jones, and Cindy (John) Sheehan; son-in-law, Emmett Ray; 77 grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a brother, Charlie Brown.

Bettye Carroll McClendon, age 90, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at her home in Greenbrier.

In addition to her parents Mrs. McClendon is preceded in death by her husband Robert Edward McClendon and her daughter Lisa Carol McClendon. She is survived by her son, Don (Gail) Jenkins; 5 grandchildren, Tina (Glenn) Tuttle, Charlotte (Eddie) Osborne, Keri Beth (Daniel) Rushing, Rachel (Michael) Gray, and Jeana (Troy) Turner; 15 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; sister, Mai McCrory; and a close family friend, “Uncle” David Rose.

Obituary for Hazel Nora Heatherly
Hazel Nora (Armstrong) Heatherly, age 82, of Springfield, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Green Hills Center for Rehabilitation and Healing.
A private family graveside service was conducted on Wednesday, November 20th in Springfield Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Heatherly was born September 1, 1942, in Montgomery County, to the late L.H. Armstrong and the late Margie Craig Armstrong. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Nathan Armstrong, Kathleen Flatt, Annie Goodwin, Thelma Wray, and Sylvia Littlejohn.
Hazel is survived by her son, Cloud Shawn (Carmen) Jones; daughter, Lola Dee Jones; 4 grandchildren, Brandon Goodwin, Samantha Pitt, Dakota Jones, and Brendan Jones; and 4 great grandchildren.

Obituary for Jacob Elrod Sr.
Jacob Aaron Elrod, Sr., age 40 of Pleasant View, Tennessee passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Graveside services were conducted at 11:30AM, Friday, November 22nd, at EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View with Bro. Jim Graves officiating. J.J. Moulton, Justin Leibfritz, Wade Moore, Stevie Duke, Caleb Cantrell, and Brian Felts will served as pallbearers.
The family received friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Thursday, November 21st from 5:00-8:00PM, and again on Friday beginning at 10:00AM until 11:00AM and then proceed to the graveside at 11:30AM.
Jacob was born on September 26, 1984 in Nashville, Tennessee to Kenny & Marlena Taylor Elrod. He was a diesel mechanic for over 20 years, most recently employed as a mobile tech with Cumberland International. He enjoyed camping and ATV riding with his son, and was a big Buffalo Bills fan.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald Taylor, Sr. and Martha Elrod.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Jacob “Aaron” Elrod, Jr.; brother, Jeremy (Rachael Anne) Elrod; sister, Amanda (Ben) Binkley; grandparents, Millie Taylor and Earl Elrod; nieces and nephews, Taylor, Brody, & Boone Binkley, Atticus & Theodore Elrod; and numerous loving aunts, uncles & cousins.

Obituary for Jack Wade Crafton
Jack Wade Crafton ,age 89 of White House passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 at his home. He was born September 17, 1935 in White House, TN to James B. & Ivy Flora Camplin Crafton. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from the Ford Glass Plant with 44 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, farming, vegetable gardening, gambling, going to Vegas and driving anything with wheels, especially keeping his lawn mowed to perfection. But more than anything, he loved his home and his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Crafton; infant daughter, Vickie Lynn Crafton; sister, Mildred Sprouse. He is survived by his son, Brett Wade (Melanie) Crafton, Springfield, TN; daughter, Tracy Crafton, White House, TN; 4 grandchildren, Brittany (Jeromi) Critikos, Dallas Crafton, Tyler Crafton and Madison Crafton.
Funeral service was held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11AM in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Paul Edwards officiating. Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery with military honors and with Paul Thompson, Jeromi Critikos, Dale Sprouse, Bill Thompson, Dallas Crafton and Tyler Crafton serving as pallbearers. Visitation was Friday, November 22, 2024 4-8PM and Saturday, November 23, 2024 10AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
