Obituary for Mandy Dawn Menke Frank
Mandy Dawn Menke Frank, age 34 of Cross Plains, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at her home. Memorial services will be conducted Friday, April 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Thom McAdory officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 AM until the hour of service.
Ms. Franks was born April 27, 1984 in Davidson County to Gerald Wayne Menke and Andrea Dawn Filler. She was a homemaker and her sole purpose in life was taking care of her daughter and trying to be the best person she could be.
She is survived by her daughter, Nevaeh Jacobs of Cross Plains; companion, Daniel Jacobs of Cross Plains; mother, Dawn Filler of Murfreesboro; father, Jerry Menke of Millersville; sister, Ashley Menke of Kingston Springs; brother, Michael McCarver of Nashville; grandmother, Judy Filler of Hendersonville; grandfather, Charles Larry Filler of Oklahoma; nieces, Korah Menke, Kierston Menke, Kyrie Menke, Bryonna McCarver, and Ma’Hari McCarver; and nephews, Kaymen Menke and Isaiah McCarver.

Obituary for R.E. “Bub” Edwards
R.E. “Bub” Edwards, 90, of Springfield, passed from this life on Sunday March 31, 2019 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday April 6th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Perdue officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with David Edwards, Michael Edwards, Lars Edwards, Gairdt Edwards, Aren Edwards, Ryan Blackwell, Michael Watts, and Terry Watts serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Hardee’s Coffee Club. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Edwards was born December 2, 1928 in Robertson County to the late Martin Walker and Georgia Lipscomb Edwards. He graduated from Coopertown High School. Mr. Edwards worked for U.S. Tobacco, having started as a buyer and then retired as the manager of the Springfield location. He was a member of New Chapel United Methodist Church, the Hardee’s Coffee Club, the New Chapel Men’s Club, the Coopertown Men’s Club, and was a former Robertson County Commissioner. Mr. Edwards loved fishing, hunting, and growing his vegetable garden, especially his straight rows of tomato’s. His friends and neighbors always received the bounty of the vegetable garden he grew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: George W. Edwards. Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife of 70 years: Bettye Watts Edwards of Springfield, by his sons and daughters-in-law: Lynn and Megan Edwards of Murfreesboro, Ken and Kathryn Edwards of Old Hickory, by his daughter and son-in-law: Diane and Steve Blackwell of Thompson Station, by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Obituary for Newell Broadus Sellers
Newell Broadus Sellers, 85, of Bowling Green, KY, and formerly of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday March 29, 2019 at the Greenwood Nursing and Rehab Center in Bowling Green, KY.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday April 3rd at 12:00 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Martin Babb officiating. Interment followed in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY with Mark Sellers, Mike Lemon, Mike Beshear, Ted Stubblefield, Jim Campbell, and Trent Pinson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Hollingsworth, Bobby Payne, and Jackie Pinson. The family received friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Sellers was born June 11, 1933 in Lake Providence, LA to the late Edward and Lois Cole Sellers. He grew up in Mize, MS and graduated from Mize High School. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. Mr. Sellers was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in a guided missile unit in Seattle, WA during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with JC Penny for 10 years, having moved to Springfield in 1969 as a department store manager. He then went on to work, and retire from, the State of Tennessee Department of Health as a facility administrator for over 30 years. After moving to Bowling Green, KY, he enjoyed the fellowship of First Baptist Church in Bowling Green through their television ministry. His church membership was with Springfield Baptist, where he taught Sunday School for over 40 years. Mr. Sellers loved fishing, collecting Snoopy memorabilia, and spending time with his family. He loved nature, animals, and traveling, especially to Orange Beach and then on to Gatlinburg during the month of October.
Mr. Sellers is survived by his wife of 46 years: Nancye Webb Sellers of Bowling Green, KY, his son: Mark Sellers of Laurel, MS, his daughter and son-in-law: Cindy Sellers Lemon and Mike Lemon of Bowling Green, KY, and by the joys of his life, his grandchildren: Abram, Tobias, Asa, Gideon, and Judah Lemon.

Obituary for Harold “Pete” Dean Peterson
Age 86 of White House passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at his home. He was born January 21, 1933 In Marion, IL. He worked as a car salesman and as assistant manager of several restaurants including Shoney’s and Hardee’s. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of White House Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shelby Jean Peterson, White House, TN; step-son, Randy (Kimetha) Brooks, White House, TN; step-daughters, Teresa (Jimmy) Ussery, South Carolina and Deborah (Gerald) Prowell, Gallatin, TN; 6 step-grandchildren,Brittany, Raleigh, Alicia, Eric, Chris and Cassandra; 6 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home In White House with Bro. Keith Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Saturday April 6, 2019 9am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Clemmon Otis Rediker, age 97 of Joelton, Tennessee, died Monday, April 1, 2019 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Friday, April 5, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Barry Simpson and Bro. Tom Malone officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City with Nicholas Rediker, Chance Baker, Christian Baker, Jason Rediker, Danny Rediker, and Matt Webb serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, April 4, from 5-8:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00AM until the hour of service at 11:00AM.
Mr. Rediker was born on April 2, 1921 in Coopertown, Tn. to the late William R. and Georgia Elizabeth Edgin Rediker. He was a retired contractor and a U.S. Army veteran having served in WWII. He attended New Hope Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Camilla Bracey Rediker; sister, Willie Mae Anderson; and brothers, Clarence and Roy Rediker.
Mr. Rediker is survived by a son, Harold (Bonnie) Rediker; brother, Herbert Rediker; grandchildren, Natalie Baker, Jason (Tammy) Rediker, and Stacy (Matt) Webb; six great- grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Age 69 of White House went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 31, 2019 at her home. She was born March 6, 1950 in Tullahoma, TN to Dewey A. & Ernestine Casteel Cochrane. She worked as a bookkeeper for Advanced Home Care & Hospice before her retirement and was a member of Hendersonville Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry and Tony Cochrane. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Stone, White House, TN; daughters, Tammy Faye Smith, Springfield, TN, Jodi Dawn (Chad) Pennington, Nashville, TN and Dayna Lee (Steve) Steele, Cottontown, TN; brothers, Ronny (Georgia) Cochrane, Portland, TN, Stephen (Linda) Cochrane, Cross Plains, TN, Stanley (Jo) Cochrane, Louisville, KY and David (Susan) Cochrane, Cottontown, TN; sister, Gloria (Rich) Keen, Hendersonville, TN; 4 grandchildren, TJ, Chase, Macey and Lexie; 2 great-grandchildren, Brensley and Lawson.

Charles Leon Bibee, age 76 of Goodlettsville, TN passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his residence.
The family received friends 4 pm to 8 pm, Monday April 1, 2019, 4 pm to 8 pm Tuesday, April 2, 2019 and 11 am to 1 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier. The funeral service was held at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier with Rev. Tyler Estep officiating. Burial followed in the Adams Cemetery in Adams, TN.
Mr. Bibee was born in Adams, TN on April 18, 1942 to the late Willis Farmer and Lorene Tolleson Bibee. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Bailey Bibee and Gary Bibee.
He was retired from Metro Government Sanitation Department.
He loved his family and spending time with them. His passion was gardening and working outdoors but also enjoyed watching the History and Science channels. He was a quiet, humble and gentle but strong man who enjoyed working out and playing the harmonica.
He is survived by his wife, Dorris Matthews Bibee; sons, Thomas Leon Bibee, Michael Lee (Carol) Bibee; daughter, Lisa Denise Drake; brothers, Wayne (Ruth) Bibee, Carl Lee (Jan) Bibee, Harold Dean (Wanda) Bibee; grandchildren, Angel Rangel, Jasmine Rangel, Daniel Lee Bibee and 6 great-grandchildren.
Family will serve as pallbearers.

Obituary for “Smoke” Gary Lloyd Crossett Sr.
Gary “Smoke” Crossett, age 73 of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away Friday March 29th, 2019 from his long battle with cancer.
Smoke lived out his dream to be on a stage and to entertain the people in front of him and to see the world. He was a funny guy and a prankster who was always ready to tell a story and make you laugh. He loved his family dearly, he loved music and he loved to just strike up a conversation and talk. It’s comforting to know he is now pain free and at peace with our Lord and Savior, and that there are so many loved ones before him there, to welcome him to his new home eternal. He will be sorely missed and always loved by all of his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Durwood and Bernice Crossett; and grandson Layne Wilkes Crossett. He is survived by his sons Gary (Chique) Crossett and Matthew Ryan (Leah) Crossett.; daughter Tresia (Aaron) Michael; brother Bobby (Jean) Crossett; grandchildren Zachery, Alicia, Gwen, and Ethan Crosset, Tyler Marlin, Lauren, Brendon and Kaleb Michael; and great-grandchildren Bailey and Sidney Eing, Sophia Walker, and Chloe Michael.
His family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until his Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 p.m. at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Hendersonville with Rev. Rhonda Lee officiating.

Obituary for Jennifer Leigh Smith
Jennifer Leigh Smith, age 49 of White House, TN passed away on March 28, 2019, after a brief battle with cancer.
Jennifer was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on September 11, 1969 to Jerry and June Good Taylor. Jennifer spent her early years in Jonesborough, TN but moved to Portland, TN her Sophomore year of High School. She graduated from Volunteer State Community College and finished her Paralegal Degree at Southeastern Paralegal Institute.
Jennifer worked as a Paralegal for over 27 years for John and Grayson Smith Cannon. She most recently supported Grayson at Phillips & Ingrum Attorneys at Law in Gallatin, TN. She was a dedicated professional and very well respected by her peers.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Lee Taylor; grandparents, Kyle and Elizabeth Wysor Taylor and Paul and Edith Moyers Good.
Jennifer is survived by her husband of 24 years, Mark E. Smith; sons, Matthew and Evan Smith of White House, TN; Mother June Good Taylor and sister Jeanna Taylor both of Portland, TN; In-Laws Kenneth and Fay Smith of Hermitage, TN; numerous uncles, aunts, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and cousins.
Visitation was held at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in White House, TN on Sunday, March 31st from 2:00pm-6:00pm and Monday, April 1st from 10:00am-12:00pm with a funeral service conducted by Reverend Matthew Warren and Reverend Jack Stone following visitation. Burial and committal service immediately followed at White House Memorial Gardens with Marc Garner, Chip Buckner, Kevin Burke, Tommy Smith, Alan Smith & Thomas Campbell serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Smith, Frank Trimmer, Kevin Gaines, John Lees, Saial Nath and Joseph Dunivan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that gifts be made to White House Youth Soccer Scholarship Fund. Jennifer took great pleasure for many years watching her boys play soccer and she also enjoyed the company of what have become lifelong family friends. Jimmie Dale Harrison, age 75 of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019.
Jimmie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served in the US Army and attended Holiday Heights Baptist Church. He was a man who enjoyed working and family. He was always tinkering with lawnmowers and fixing cars. What he loved the most was getting the family together and spending time with the grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, T.B. and Glendola Harrison; and brothers Ronald and Tommy Harrison. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, June Elizabeth Harrison; son, Houston (Heather) Harrison; daughters Talitha (Baxley) Hellams, Towana Rector, Luana (Richard) Hatcher, Tabatha (Justin) Cazel, Katrina Harrison; brothers Jerry and Roger Harrison; sisters Glenda Faye Riddle, Brenda Kay McGowan, and Francis Marie Campbell; grandchildren David, Matt, Lauren, Annette, Travis, Blake, Amelia, Logan, Hannah, Brandon, Katelyn, Justine, Makenzie, and Christian; and great-grandchildren Naomi, Anna, Everett, and Indiana.
