Obituary for Lynne Sowell
Lynne Heatherly Sowell, age 60, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at The Waters of Springfield. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Pastor Billy Townsend officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm.
The family and friends of Mrs. Sowell are encouraged to gather at the Catfish House in Springfield at 2pm following the Memorial Service to reminisce.
Mrs. Sowell was born October 25, 1958 in Harrisburg, PA to the late George Robert and Edith Darrin Heatherly. She loved cars and owned with her husband an auto repair shop where she enjoyed doing upholstery work. She also worked at O’Reilly’s and Electrolux. While living in Harrisburg she enjoyed participating in the Culinary Food Services Program there.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Sowell is preceded in death by her brother, David Heatherly. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Sowell; son, Andrew (Noah Eckert) Heatherly of White House; step-son, David Sowell of Springfield; grandchildren, Alicia Nicole Sowell, Noah Sowell and Meagan Sowell; and great-grandchildren, Mailey Sowell and Cameron Boyd Sowell.

Obituary for Don DeGeare
Donald Joseph DeGeare, age 81, of Pleasant View, TN, died Friday, July 5, 2019 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o’clock pm, Tuesday, July 9th, at the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Corey Minter, Bro. Tom Malone, and Craig Beecher officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery with military honors. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers are any military veterans (past or present), and Harris Bunch.
The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, July 9th, beginning at 11:00AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Mr. DeGeare was born on June 21, 1938 in Ottawa, Illinois to Anne Yednock and the late Joseph DeGeare. He was retired from the United States Army with the rank of Master Sergeant (MSG) and was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he was awarded many medals and awards including the Silver and Bronze Stars, and a Purple Heart. After retiring from the Army, he was employed by and retired from the State of Tennessee, working in Information Technology.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Rhonda DeGeare; sons, Donald, Jr., Mike, Joe, and Andre DeGeare; daughter, Vicky Hall; step-sons, Brandon (Deena) Beecher, and Craig (Mallory) Beecher; brother, Ronnie (Judy) DeGeare; niece, Kim; and numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 1285 New Hope Road, Joelton, TN 37080.

Obituary for Judy Ann Browne
Judy Ann Browne, age 58, of Cedar Hill, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at her home.
A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Robertson County Funeral Home.
Ms. Browne was born on December 10, 1960 in Robertson County to the late Joseph Hawkins Traughber and Nora Ella Taylor Traughber. She was a member of Barren Plains Baptist Church. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed remodeling, exercising, and reading. She was fond of horses.
She is survived by her son, Robert Browne of Olathe, KS; mother Nora Traughber of Cedar Hill; brother and sister-in- law, Alan and Leanna Traughber of Adams; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Ted Starkey of Springfield, Vanessa and David Fulton of Springfield, Teresa and Randy Johnson of Port Aransas, TX, and Yvette and Charlie Stone of Amarillo, TX.
The family ask, if so desired, for memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. All donations can be sent in c/o the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Obituary for Billy Ray Reynolds
Billy Ray Reynolds, age 75 of Springfield, died Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his home.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Blake Stiles, Gordon Beasley, and Jerry Reynolds officiating. Burial followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Scott Reynolds, Blake Braswell, Preston Braswell, Zach Suter, Derek Johnson, David Richards, and Lucas Suter serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were James McKinney, Josh McKinney, Billy Braswell, Roger Guy, John Allen, Dennis Parker, and Louis Jamison. The family received friends at the funeral home Monday from 3 until 8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Reynolds was born December 24, 1943 in Springfield to the late Floyd W. and Margaret Proctor Reynolds, Sr. He was a member of Highland Chapel Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for 31 years in the human resources department for the State of Tennessee. He had many hobbies and interest including bowling, golf, traveling, coaching baseball, flowers, and gospel music. He sang with the Christianaires for over 20 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Braswell; a brother, Richard Reynolds; and sisters, Edna Pauline Reynolds, Ruth Marie “Pat” Slagle, and Pamela Jean Parks.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lorraine Binkley “Lolly” Reynolds of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Julie Reynolds of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Eddie Suter of Greenbrier; son-in-law and wife, Billy and Melissa Braswell of Cedar Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Floyd W. and Beulah Reynolds, Jr. of Cedar Hill; sisters, Nell Rawls of Springfield and Peggy Creekmore of Cottontown; grandchildren, James (Jennifer) McKinney, Josh (Ashley) McKinney, Scott Reynolds, Blake (Jennifer) Braswell, Preston Braswell, Rebecca Braswell (fiancé’, Derek Johnson), Zach Suter, and Lucas Suter; and 11 great grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Jonathan Kroser and staff, Dr. Kevin Davis and staff, Comfort Care Hospice, the Wound Care Center Staff at NorthCrest Medical Center, NHC Home Health, Linda Thompson, and Steven Jewel.

Obituary for Dinah Lynn Gilley
Dinah Lynn Gilley, age 72 of Springfield passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Saint Thomas West.
The family will receive friends 4pm to 8pm Friday, July 5 and 10am to 11am on Saturday, July 6 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier. The funeral service will follow at 11am, Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Phil Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville.
Dinah was born in Cleveland, TN on January 18, 1947 to the late Dale C. and Dolly R. McDonald. She was also preceded in death by husband, Raymond E. Gilley and a grandson, Christopher Nash.
She was a booking clerk with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office. She loved her family, going places, being adventurous and being in charge. She was a member of Metro Baptist Church in Goodlettsville.
She is survived by a son, Mickey (Christa) Gilley of Ridgetop, TN; daughters, Gina Howell of Murfreesboro, TN, Lori (Steve) Brown of Springfield, TN; brother, Danny McDonald of Goodlettsville, TN; grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Howell, Mychael (Stephanie) Howell, Breanna (Chance) Derseweh, Alyssa (Will) Gilley; great-grandchildren, Haylee Howell, Nolan Howell, Jace Howell, Jaxon Howell and Aubree Derseweh.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Howell, Mychael Howel, Chance Derseweh, David Larkins, Chris Veach and Chad Gilley.

Sue Lynn Robertson, age 78 of Adairville, Kentucky died on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Creekwood Nursing & Rehab Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Adairville Baptist Church with Brother Carl Freudenthal officiating. Burial will follow in the Whippoorwill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00pm and again on Saturday from 11:00am – 12:00pm.
Sue was born in Logan County, Kentucky on December 13, 1940 to the late William T. and Ruby Herring England. She retired as a waitress at Larry’s Restaurant in Springfield, Tennessee and a member of the Adairville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Allen Robertson and Walley Higdon; brother, Robert Wayne England; sister, Janice George.
Sue is survived by her sons, Russell Steven (Melinda) Robertson of Panama City, Florida, Jerry Lynn Robertson of Adairville, Kentucky, Quinn Travis (Megan) Robertson of Hendersonville, Tennessee; brother, Charles England of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Matthew Steven Robertson, Dana Michelle Robertson, Cory Robertson, Travis Robertson, and Colton Robertson; great-grandchildren, Sadie Robertson and Kylah Robertson. Family will serve as pallbearers.

Shawnda Crystal Webb, age 43 of Goodlettsville passed away, Monday, July 1, 2019 at Skyline Medical Center.

Shawnda was born July 1, 1976 in North Hollywood, CA to Dan Corekin and the late Debbie Douglas. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Wilkinson.
She was employed as a Manager for Publix Food Stores. She loved her children and grandchildren, cooking and watching movies. She attended Grace Community Fellowship.
She is survived by husband, James Maddle; father, Dan Corekin; children, Alissa (Bryan) Epley, Kalub Ford, Arabella Ford, Jeremiah Maddle; sisters, Jennifer Wilkinson, Alysa Corekin and 3 grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Luell Orbin Smith, age 87 of Franklin, Tennessee died on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Somerby of Franklin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Hopewell Baptist Church with Brother Jim Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Hopewell Baptist Church from 10:00am until the hour of service at 12:00pm.
Luell was born June 27, 1932 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late William Thomas and Reba Arzezla Hill Smith. He was a retired consultant/trainer with Lifeway. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Robert Lynn “R.L.” Smith; sister, Donna Faulkner.
Luell is survived by his wife, Lois Edwards Smith of Franklin, Tennessee; sons, Conor (Sonnie) Smith of Hendersonville, Mark (Laura) Smith of Huntsville, Alabama; daughter, Celeste (Mark) Hammond of Franklin, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. The family request that donations be made to the Hopewell Baptist Church Mission Fund.

Age 86 of Cross Plains, TN passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home. She was born February 18, 1933 in Madison, TN to Alvin & Della Songer Yates. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Cross Plains Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting and she loved playing on her ipad. She loved most her faithful feline companion “Baby”.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew G. Webb; 1 brother; 4 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Mike) Kitchens, Cross Plains, TN; sons, Jim (Sharon) Webb, Bowling Green, KY, Tony (Stacey) Webb, Las Vegas, NV and Jimmy (Kim) Webb, Nolensville, TN; 6 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 2pm at Cross Plains Church of Christ, with Bro. Richard Garza officiating. Interment followed in Carr Cemetery in Cross Plains, TN with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation was held Wednesday, July 3, 2019 3-8pm at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House and 10am-2pm on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Cross Plains Church of Christ.
