Charlotte Marie CrawfordCharlotte Marie Crawford, age 85 of Springfield, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 21, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Ralph and Pastor Scott Dobbins officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 3 PM until the hour of service. Private burial services will be held at Mt. Sharon Cemetery.

Mrs. Crawford was born August 23, 1931 in Nashville to the late Ellis and Mary Anderson Holladay. She was a homemaker and a member of Red River Assembly of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Lee Swaim.

Clara Mae HarrisClara Mae Hill Harris, 92, of Madison, died Monday November 14, 2016 at Creekside Health & Rehab Center in Madison. Funeral services was conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Dobbins officiating. Interment followed in the Springhill Cemetery in Robertson County. The family received friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harris was born October 8, 1924 in Robertson County to the late James “Jimmy” and Effie Stella Evitts Hill. She was a retired school bus driver with Metro Schools and was a member of Dickerson Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed making quilts, gardening, and was an excellent seamstress. In addition to her parents, she floral squarewas preceded in death by her husband: Clyde Thomas Harris, Sr., by her brother: James O. Hill, and by her sisters: Louise Binkley and Elizabeth Sterry.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her son: Clyde Thomas “C.T.” Harris, Jr., of Madison, brother: Raymond Hill of Goodlettsville, sister: Edith Gladys Eden of Goodlettsville, and by several nieces and nephews

Josie Burton CoxVirginia Josephine “Josie” Heatherly Burton Cox, 82, of Springfield, died Monday November 14, 2016 at her home. Graveside services were conducted Thursday November 17th at 2:00 p.m. in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Tim Harris officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers. The family received friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cox was born July 11, 1934 in Robertson County to the late Willard McKinley and Louise Travis Heatherly. She was a retired nurse’s aide and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Cox enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing, and dancing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Paul William Burton and Albert Cox, her son: Wesley J. Burton, and her siblings: Thomas, James, Willard “Bug”, and Tony Heatherly, and Mary Frances “Sis” Harper.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Charles Wayne and Kathy Crabtree Burton of Springfield, James W. “Jimmy” and Amie Burton of Concord, N.C., daughter and son-in-law: Heather and Mike Hughes of Iron Station, NC, her companion: Charles Black of Cunningham, brothers: H.L. Heatherly of Gallatin, floral squareJohnny and Richard Heatherly both of Kentucky, Joe Heatherly of Joelton, sisters: Elizabeth “Bill” Anderson of Cedar Hill, Geneva “DeDe” Herndon of Greenbrier, Carolyn Dugger of Joelton, grandchildren: Ashley (Jeff) Saxon, Peyton Hughes, Jaclyn Burton, Jinny Kate Hughes, and Brittany Scott, four great grandchildren.

Katherine "Kitty" HannabassMrs. Katherine “Kitty” Tootle Hannabass of Springfield passed away peacefully on November 12, 2016 at the age of 87.

Kitty is survived by her sister: Lillian “Linnie” Hickey of Ocala, FL, and her children: Lillian Trettin (Carl) of Mount Pleasant, SC, H. Hayden Hannabass III (Tommie Jean) of Lakeland, FL, Katherine Penney (Jeff) of Saltillo, MS, Julia Woodward (Barry) of Sheridan, WY, and Walt Hannabass (Beth) of Springfield, TN.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: James Hannabass, Dylan Trettin, Casey Penney, Kyle Trettin, Rachel Hannabass, Jesse Penney, Hillary Slabaugh, Katy Penney, and Marley Hannabass and her great-grandchildren: Hayden and Sterling Hannabass and Eliza and Amelia Penney. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hayden Hannabass, Jr. her sister, Mildred “Happy” Beever, and her parents, William and Mildred Tootle.

Kitty was born on July 7, 1929 in St. Joseph, MO, to William and Mildred Tootle. She graduated from Hollins College and received her Master of Arts in English from East Tennessee State University. She married H. Hayden Hannabass, Jr. in 1950. After moving to Kingsport, TN, they started a family together. From 1954-1961, the couple welcomed 5 children into their home and Kitty set about teaching and caring for them. Her children remember her as a sweet and nurturing mother who loved them unconditionally.

Kitty was an accomplished artist and often exhibited her artwork on Mackinac Island, MI, her summer home. She was a generous individual who loved knitting and sewing and would often donate the items she created to numerous charitable causes. Music was also a passion for Kitty, and she often sang in the choir at church and played the piano for her family. She was an affiliate member of First United Methodist Church in Springfield, TN and a deaconess at Trinity Episcopal Church on Mackinac Island, MI.

A memorial service was held 12:00 noon on Friday, November 18, 2016 at First floral squareUnited Methodist Church in Springfield, TN., with visitation beginning at 11:00. All were welcome to attend and celebrate Kitty Hannabass’s life.

Mrs. Napier was born on October 1, 1956 in Lynwood, CA to the late Frank and Nellie Kostka Kogut. She was employed at Walmart in Ashland City for 28 years and was a Christian.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Linn Kogut; and mother-in-law, Bobbie Napier.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Napier; daughters, Tami (Rod) Stotts of Chapmansboro, and Kelly (Christopher) Peppard of Pleasant View; sisters, Connie Kogut of Palm Springs, CA, and Bonnie Drury of Barstow, CA; father-in-law, Robert Napier of Clarksville; sister-in-law, Debbie (Scott) Guest of Clarksville; grandchildren, Waylon, Dylan & Presley Stotts, and Ashley & Noah Peppard; great-granddaughter, Ruth Peppard.

Mr. Strunk was born on February 15, 1956 in Nashville, TN. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, and was a retired beloved auto mechanics teacher for the Cheatham County school system. He was a member of the Pleasant View United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Marilyn Baker and Gwendolyn Strunk.
