Obituary for David Ray Trotter
(11/14/1955-08/15/2022) Has been carried from his earthly home by angels to Paradise where he will rest in Peace and await the Resurrection at the coming of the Lord.
David was preceded in death by his parents: James Robert and Annie Katherine Trotter.
He is survived by his wife Laurie Ann LeBlanc and by his siblings: James Dale (Pam) Trotter, Barbara Jean (James) Ladd, and Charles Dewayne Trotter; also by “Mama II” June Trotter; Aunts: Sylvia Rochuba, Barbara Jane Puckett, & Patricia Lassiter Trotter; numerous cousins, nieces & nephews and their children; & very special friends Cleveland (Helen) Stephens.
David would like to acknowledge all of his church family members at the Ivy Point church of Christ, the Waycross church of Christ, and the Joelton church of Christ.
Abundant thanks to the many well wishers and fraternal brothers at the Sigma Nu fraternity Theta Iota chapter. David loved you all!

Obituary for Sandra Dianne Beach
Sandra Dianne Beach of Greenbrier passed peacefully from the arms of her children, grandchildren, and pastor into the arms of Jesus on August 9, 2022, at the Arbors at Springfield Heights. She was born March 23, 1944, in Nashville, TN to the late Sam David and Ellen Madelle Strong.
Mrs. Sandra was a member of Greenbrier United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She retired from Textron Aerostructures in Nashville. After retirement, Mrs. Sandra worked for Springhouse Golf Shop at the Opryland Hotel and Burdett’s Tea Shop. It was a joy for her to serve others.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play sports. Mrs. Sandra loved her cats, her friends, neighbors, and Duke basketball. She had many talents and enjoyed craft projects and sewing. She was an excellent cook as well, growing up in her parents’ restaurant. Mrs. Sandra was a strong woman and is a 24-year Breast Cancer Survivor.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, R.T. Matthews, Jr.
She is survived by her children: Amanda (Cliff) Horn of Greenbrier, David (Christy) Mayes of Springfield and Amelia (Richard) Clark of Goodlettsville, by Grandchildren Clifton (Stephanie) Horn, Ethan Horn, Cameron Clark (Laela Truelove), Savannah Mayes (Noah Harrington) and great granddaughter Ansleigh Horn, by Sister-in-law Peggy Mayes and many caring friends.
A private family memorial will be held at her request. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenbrier United Methodist Church or the United Methodist Women in memory of Mrs. Sandra.

Vera Ann Carney Woodard, 82, of Springfield, passed from this life on Thursday August 11, 2022, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday August 15th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Joe Woodard, Ben Jernigan, John Watts, Thomas Watts, Tim Guy, and Rich Brady serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Allison Watts, Aiden Jones, Gavin Jones, Samuel Woodard, Scarlett Jernigan, and Claire Norville. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Woodard was born April 18, 1940, in Springfield to the late Vernon and Elizabeth McIntosh Carney. She was a homemaker and a member of Battle Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Woodard loved sewing, crocheting, baking, and crafting. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Burton Edward Woodard, by her son: Vernon Woodard, by her siblings: Sue Murphy and Peggy Dulley, by her son-in-law: John Watts, and by her granddaughter: Candice Carter.
Mrs. Woodard is survived by her sons: Terry Lynn Woodard and wife Jennifer of Springfield, Michael Woodard and wife Donna of Springfield, by her daughters: Elaine Mitchuson of Paducah, KY, Diane Bryan and husband Anthony of Springfield, and Martha Watts of Springfield, by her daughter-in-law: Elaine Woodard of Springfield, by her brother: Vernon Ray Carney and wife Phyllis of Clarksville, by her sisters: Evelyn Parker of Hendersonville, Mae Gamble of Springfield, Betty Dixon of Orlinda, Louise Brothers and husband Jackie of Springfield, Patsy Biggs and husband Billy Joe of Pleasant View, and Ruth Holmes and husband Ricky of Hendersonville, and by her 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Obituary for Joe Pat Johnson
Joe Pat Johnson, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Alive Hospice.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 14th at 2:00 PM, in The Oakhurst Chapel of The Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Justin Wesson officiating. Interment will follow in Harper Hills Cemetery in Springfield, TN with Ross Martin, Zachary Meyer, Denny Choate, Chip Gifford, Jeff Walker, Todd Williamson, and Mike “Pepe” Gallagher will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, John Fox, “The Boys”, Legacy Golf Club Members, and Joe’s Nasco family. The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, August 13th at 2:00 until 5:00 PM and on Sunday from 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home.
Joe was born September 18, 1939, in Nacogdoches, TX to the late Joe Rogers and Dorothy Matlock Johnson. He was a graduate of Nacogdoches High School Class of 1957. He went on to earn his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. He was president of the Sawyers club while attending S.F.A. Joe was the National Sales Manager for NASCO in Springfield. He later worked as an insurance sales agent for Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company. He was a member of Western Star Lodge, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Al Menah Temple and the Scottish Rite, a member of Kiwanis Club and Springfield Baptist Church. Joe was a founding member of Crime Stoppers in Springfield and Robertson County. He loved playing golf, hunting, playing spades and dominoes with “The Boys”, and he was an avid Texas Longhorns fan. Joe was always a man’s man that enjoyed a good cigar. He loved his family and enjoyed all the family get togethers they had over the years.
Joe is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 61 years, Margaret Lynn “Peggy” Johnson of Springfield, by his daughter and son-in-law Jill Margaret and Russell H. Jackson of Cunningham, by his son, Joe Rogers “Jay” Johnson, II of Springfield, by his brother John Michael Johnson of Nacogdoches, TX, and by his grandchildren: Jaya Margaret Meyer and husband Zachary of Clarksville, and Ross Joseph Martin of Memphis as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Obituary for Donald Wayne Pruett
Donald Wayne Pruett, 78, of Madison, died Monday, August 8, 2022, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Mr. Pruett remains were cremated and buried in Binkley Cemetery. He was born on January 18, 1944, in Nashville to the late Ona Adcox Nesiz. He loved fishing, hunting, and working.
He is survived by his sons; Terry Wayne Pruett of Madison, Robert Allen Pruett of Madison, daughters; Lisa Marie Hanvy of Clarksville, and Donna Elaine Lokey of Bowling Green, Ky, Grandsons; Justin and Austin Hanvy, and one Great Grandson; Nathan Hanvy.

Kenneth William “Kenny” Schutt, age 53, of Cedar Hill, TN, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Springfield with Pastor Frank Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellwood Cemetery in Adams with Tracy Hudnall, Cody Hudnall, Phillip Schutt, Danny Knight, Allen Rose and Daniel Arocho Jr. serving as pallbearers and Calvin Olive and Jonathan Schutt as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Schutt was born November 7, 1968 in Nashville, TN to the late Andrew Kenneth and Mary Elizabeth Bowen Schutt. He was a commercial and housing painter for many years.
In addition to his parents Mr. Schutt was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Schutt Jr.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Amanda Schutt; a son, Cameron Schutt; 6 daughters, Jackie Schutt, Brittany Schutt, Ashley Moses, Brittany Carver, Brianna Schutt and Kaitlynn Elliott; 15 grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Stephanie Hudnall, Amanda Schutt and Vickie Potter.

Obituary for Inez Brown
Inez Floy Brown was born May 25, 1934, on a small farm in Anadarko, OK. She was the baby sister to two sisters & one brother. She moved from Oklahoma to Modesto, CA in 1946 and later returned to Oklahoma where she lived for many years. Her faith became sight on August 10, 2022 at the age of 88 while in Hillcrest Healthcare in Ashland City, TN.
Inez was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Virgie Francen; sister, Jewel Cherry; spouses: Luvern Ralph Gerjits and Thomas Henry Brown; a son, Leon Gerjits. and a grandson Joshua Penney.
She is survived by her brother Charles Francen and her sister Joyce Taylor; daughter, Judy (Randy) Penney; grandsons, Justin (Amanda) Penney; Jared Penney; Travis Penney; granddaughter, Danielle Penney (Jake Parker); and four great-grandchildren, Lorelai, Everly, Elliott and Emma; many nieces and nephews, one favorite nephew, and several great-nieces and nephews, along with multiple cousins.
Inez loved her family. She never met a stranger and was always ready to share a joke or her signature “look”. She was a true friend and particularly loved going to thrift stores with her long-time Tennessee friend, Charlie and making weekly Friday night calls to her lifelong California friend Marie to stay up to date on each other’s lives and reading lists. She was a wonderful seamstress who had a passion for creative sewing and teaching others her tricks. In recent years she enjoyed sewing hundreds of dresses and shorts for missions to Africa and Honduras wanting to make the outfits fun and beautiful for the children who needed them. Plus, during Covid she made over 500 masks for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and a number of local nursing homes. She loved to cook and as a family, we will never forget her famous “Stacks” and her secret method for making them so good!
A graveside service is planned at a later date at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Corey Minter officiating. Inurnment will follow.
Honorary pallbearers: As a family, we would like to honor the staff at Hillcrest Health Care and Adoration Hospice staff. We want to acknowledge the compassion of these health care workers and the care they provided to Inez. They held her hand and got her dry sense of humor, and did everything they could to encourage her. These professionals provided a high level of personal care, above and beyond what was expected, which made our burden of saying goodbye to one so loved much easier.

Mrs. Cato was born January 10, 1948 in Springfield to the late James and Robbie Crain Pendleton. She worked at Wilson Sporting Goods and was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family, especially her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her fur babies.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Cato is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Earl Cato and her sister, Judy Ruffin. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Scott and Karen Hoskins; daughter and son-in-law, Chanin and Buzzy Seiber; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Donald and Cathy Cato, Jr.; step-daughters and step-son-in-law, Brenda and Timmy Sierman and Susan Dubois; sister, Dorothy Cowan; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Joseph “Ditt” Thomas, age 87, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at his granddaughter’s home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11am in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Jim Woodard and Brother Michael Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation was held at the funeral home on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 4-8pm and again on Saturday from 10am until the hour of service at 11am.
Mr. Thomas was born July 25, 1935 in Springfield to the late Cleland McKinney “C.M.” and Mary Elizabeth Edwards Thomas. He worked as a Civil Engineer for the pipeline, was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea, and was a member of the North Springfield Baptist Church. Mr. Thomas was also a salesman at Gupton Motors for many years.
In addition to his parents Mr. Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Thomas, his daughter, Amy Moon, his brothers, Harrison Thomas and Robert Thomas, and his sister, Shirley Ann Goosetree. Mr. Thomas is survived by his sister, Melba Jean Tapp; his grandchildren, Patricia Moon, and Joe Moon; and several nieces and nephews.

Peggy Marie Mason, age 84 of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, died Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home.
Her remains will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Mason was born on April 13, 1938 in Akron, Ohio, to the late Robert & Macy Carson Jackson. She was a homemaker who was an excellent cook. She was very smart and loved to watch Jeopardy. Mrs. Mason also loved animals, especially her cat. She was a longtime member of the church of Christ at Sycamore Chapel.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Jackson; and her sister, Sandra Seifert.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ronald Mason; son, John (Jennifer) Mason; daughters, Jenny Pace, Maggie Mason, Katie Mason, and Laura (David) Evans; grandchildren, Meredith (Jess) Landon, Hank Edison, Logan Edison, Mason Evans, Lena Mason, and Laura Mason; and great-grandchildren, Tucker and Bryce Landon.

Obituary for Jerry “Jackie” Alonzo Cleveland
Jerry (Jackie) Alonzo Cleveland, age 82, was called home to be with his Lord on August 8, 2022, surrounded by his family, in his home in Cross Plains, TN. Jerry was born March 9, 1940 in Corryton, TN to the late Alfred and Stella Cleveland. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his siblings Doris Welch, Jimmy Cleveland, Keith Cleveland, Glenn Cleveland and Carol White.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Darlene Cleveland; daughter, Jessica Cleveland (fiance’ Luke Bradshaw) and son Jeremy Cleveland, all of Cross Plains, TN. Jerry is also survived by his sister Joann Beeler (Ronald); several nieces and nephews. Jerry was proud to have served in the United States Army and Army Reserves. Much of Jerry’s career was spent working as the finance manager at Music City Dodge and Regent Dodge for over twenty years. He finished his career, until retirement in 2005, at his favorite job with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) at the wildlife management area in Lebanon, TN. Jerry loved to be outdoors, farming, deer hunting, gardening, and tending animals. Jerry was a big fan of the University of Tennessee football program and followed the UT athletics with passion. Most of all, Jerry loved spending time with his family. He adored his children and counted it such a blessing to be their father. Jerry had fought different health issues in recent years but was always in good spirits. Jerry would want you to join him again one day in Heaven, so it is not goodbye, it is “see you later.”
Funeral service was Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 12pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Ronald Beeler officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors and with Brad Billingsley, Ben Billingsley, Nathan Henderson, Jay Cleveland, Travis Jernigan, Luke Bradshaw, Eli Mikos and Jeff Winfree serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer was Bobby Capps. Visitation was Saturday, August 13, 2022 10am until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Obituary for David Trickel
David Lawrence Trickel, age 60, of Greenbrier, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. In accordance with Mr. Trickel’s wishes, his remains will be cremated and no services will be held.
Mr. Trickel was born June 17, 1962 in St. Louis, MO to the late Richard and Ann Orr Trickel. He worked as a Graphic Arts Designer for the Tennessean.
In addition to his parents Mr. Trickel is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Trickel.
Mr. Trickel is survived by his wife, Sheryl Witt Trickel; brothers, Stephan Trickel, Terry Trickel and Mark Trickel; and sisters, Carol Trickel, Elizabeth Beavers, Melinda Tanis, and Jane Trickel.

Marty Wayne Gann, age 52, of Cedar Hill, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 in a tragic automobile accident.
A Memorial Service was held Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Mike Duff officiating. Mr. Gann’s cremains were buried in the Bellwood Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation was held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12pm until the hour of service at 2pm.
Mr. Gann was born July 31, 1970 in Nashville to the late Jerry Wayne and Mona Raye Freeman Gann. He worked as a service technician at Thompson Machinery.
Mr. Gann is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John and Jenny Gann; sister and brother-in-law, Laura Kaye and Allan Crawford; nieces and nephews, Tiffany (Matt) Pennington, Adam Gann, Zachary (Brooke) Gann, Debra Raye Heatherly, and Aiden Crawford.

Honorary pallbearers were his former coworkers at the Robertson County 911 Center, Springfield Police Department, and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Department. Visitation was on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Elvis was born November 24, 1948, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to the late Jessie Woodrow and Mary Smiley Wilson. He was retired from the Robertson County 911 Center, where he served as Director of Operations. Elvis had previously worked for the Robertson County Sheriff’s Department and the Springfield Police Department before going to work at the 911 Center. He was a member of Barren Plains Baptist Church, the Tennessee Information Enforcement Systems (TIES), and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). Elvis enjoyed singing and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Michael Woodrow Wilson. Elvis is survived by his wife of soon to be 46 years: Anita Morris Wilson of Springfield, by his son and daughter-in-law: Brandon Elvis and Michelle Wilson of Springfield, by his granddaughter: Joann Wilson of Springfield, by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Rhea-Anne and Vernon Pendley of Springfield, Lacey Morris and Matthew Thompson of White House, Pam Robinson of Hendersonville, and Joey Morris of Springfield, and by several nieces and nephews.

Sandy was born June 26, 1966, in Florence, AL. He was a printing press operator and attended Long Hollow Baptist Church. Sandy loved camping and traveling. Mr. Benton was born February 7, 1939, in Springfield to the late Frank Porter and Ola Hicks Benton. He was a retired loader at Armstrong/Pirelli Tires, was a member of the Over the Hill Motorcycle Gang and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Benton enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially his Harley, Car Racing, especially his Shelby Snake, going to car shows, and he owned and operated Bobby’s Motorcycle Shop for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Betty Jo Gibson.
Mr. Benton is survived by his children: Tonia (Kevin) Threadgill of Chapel Hill, Michael Eugene (Amy) Benton of Waverly, and Tammy Rene (Robert) James of Brentwood, by his siblings: Judy (Larry) Brown of Portland, Linda Faye (Doug) Darby of Indiana, David Wayne (Tammy) Benton of Kentucky, and Donald Ray Benton of Florida, and by his seven grandchildren.

Obituary for Nancy Sloan Fox Harris
Nancy Sloan Fox Harris, age 79, of Springfield, passed from this life Monday night, August 1, 2022 at The Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville.
The family received friends Sunday, August 7 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Robertson County Funeral Home. There was no public funeral service and remains were buried in Springfield Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Mrs. Harris was born March 15, 1943, in Springfield to the late Ben and Sarah Virginia Johnson Sloan. She was a retired manager from AT&T. Mrs. Harris enjoyed gardening and sightseeing, especially on the eastern coast. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Nalan Fox and Glenn Harris, and by her sister: Diane Sloan.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughter: Holly Fox Green of Springfield, her granddaughter, Sarah Fox of Springfield, her brothers: James Robert Sloan of Springfield, and Don (Susie) Sloan of Springfield, her sister: Linda (Anthony) Fizer of Springfield, and by her sisters-in-law: Dorothy Black of Cross Plains and Rosemary Harris of Springfield.

Charles Douglas Updike, age 69, of Hendersonville, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Memorial Services were held at 5pm, Saturday, August 13 in the chapel of Austin and Bell in Greenbrier.
The family received friends from 3pm until the hour of service at 5pm on Saturday.
Mr. Updike was born October 15, 1952 in Alton, IL to the late Clarence Eugene and Helen Louise Shephard Updike. He was retired CEO of Priority Medical.
Mr. Updike is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Geoffrey and Ashley Updike and Michael Updike; daughters and son-in-law, Erin and Chase Jenkins and Carrie Updike; brothers, Rob, Bill, and Tom Updike; sister, Susan Watts; and 3 grandchildren, Katie Jenkins, Karleigh Jenkins and Hailey Updike.

Obituary for Jean Hornbuckle
Era “Jean” Hornbuckle, age 89 of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, died Thursday, August 4, 2022 after a long illness.
Jean was born on February 1, 1933 in Pleasant Shade, Tennessee to the late Lucien B. & Effie Mae Hesson. Her working career began with JC Bradford Company where she soon became the personal assistant to Mr. Bradford himself. Jean and her husband L.D. owned and raced thoroughbred horses all over the country for many years. She handled the administrative end of the horse business and additionally was the office manager for decades for the Hornbuckle Plumbing Company in Nashville.
As a child, Jean sang in a gospel group with her parents and her sister, Dorothy. Married nearly 75 years, Jean and L.D. met as teenagers the day she saw him walking down her street. He was singing “I’m Sending You a Dozen Roses”. She called out to him “Well I don’t have them yet”. L.D. immediately went to a pawn shop, borrowed $2 and proceeded to buy her 2 dozen roses. As they say – the rest is history. Jean was active in the Girl Scouts of America, the Springfield Garden Club and the Horseman’s Benevolent Society. She and L.D. loved Flager Beach, Florida and spent many years there. Jean loved and adored cats – especially her Siamese cat “Spooky”.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, and a great grandson, Jordon Stark. Survivors include her husband L.D. Hornbuckle; son, David Hornbuckle, Townsend, TN; daughter, Brenda Lee Frady, Goodlettsville, TN; 2 grandchildren, Christy Lee Stark and Christian Alexander Frady, and 2 great grandchildren, Caymrn and Shelby Stark.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Alive Hospice for their comfort and care during Jean’s illness, as well as very dear friends, Tina and Billy Phillips, who went over and above to provide loving support during this time.

Ruth Burk Bollinger, age 88, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at NHC Healthcare.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial followed in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation was held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 4-8pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until the hour of service at 1pm.
Mrs. Bollinger was born August 8, 1933 in Robertson County to the late Herschel Harvey and Willie Bell Parker Burk. She worked in the insurance industry and was a member of the Owens Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Bollinger is preceded in death by her husband, Sheriff Gene Bollinger and her sister, Betty Jean Adams. Mrs. Bollinger is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Yvonne Bollinger Webster and Tony Webster; grandchildren, Gena Ruth (Kenneth) Hannah and Michael Anthony Webster; and great-granddaughter, Rayleigh Jene Hannah.

Faye Chambliss Jones, age 86 of Ashland City, Tennessee, died Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her home.
Funeral services were conducted at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Joelton at 3:00PM on Sunday, August 7th, with Bro. Corey Minter and Bro. Tom Malone officiating. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery with Kyle Ellis, Landon Jones, Chase Suiter, Jordan Chandler, Jake Chandler, Jarrod Chandler, Camden Jones, and Lake Jones serving as pallbearers.
The family received friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00PM until the hour of service at 3:00PM.
Mrs. Jones was born on April 20, 1936 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Jimmy & Estelle Chambliss. She was a retired clerk with the State of Tennessee. She enjoyed wildflowers and reading her Bible. She especially loved her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was a longtime member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church.

Paula was born on March 17, 1964 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Rev. Bob & Betty Shockey. She was a retired hairdresser who was a former co-owner of Shear Attraction Salon in Pleasant View. Paula loved to sit by the pool, the beaches of South Florida, bright lights of Las Vegas, and the hills of Tennessee and Kentucky. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jeffrey Binkley; sister, Stevie (Garry) Smith; niece, Marsha (Gary) Garrett; great-niece & great-nephew, Taylor & Logan Garrett; and special friends, Renee Betts & Cathy Barton.
