Obituary for Madeline Ideana Rutledge
Madeline Ideana Rutledge passed away on August 27, 2023, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Nashville, TN. She was a life-long resident of Greenbrier, TN.
Madeline was born on March 13, 1999, and was 24 years old at the time of her death. She graduated from Greenbrier High School in 2017 and was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, a Cheerleader and a member of Show Choir. Madeline graduated from the University of TN Knoxville in 2022 with a degree in Psychology with a Minor in Child and Family Studies. She worked for Howell Allen Brain and Spine Surgical Clinic at Ascension and was completing her training as a Medical Assistant. She hoped to move into Neuro-Psychology Nursing in the future.
Madeline was such a bright light in this world. She loved honestly and openly and was a wonderful friend to so many. She loved all types of music, video games, NFL Football, Korean food, Science documentaries and so much more. There was no malice in Madeline and her kindness to everyone showed in the beautiful smile on her face. She loved her family fiercely, including her Maltese pups, Louie and Posie. Madeline was a Christian and the family is comforted knowing she is in the arms of the Lord.
Madeline was proceeded in death by her brother, Ian Rutledge in 2018. Madeline is survived by her parents, Thomas and Sonya Rutledge (Greenbrier); Sister and best friend, Mia Rutledge (Franklin); Grandparents, Clarence and Ideana Yoder (Goshen, IN); Grandmother Lorene Rutledge (Springfield, IL); and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Madeline on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Long Hollow Church Chapel, 3031 Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville, TN 37075. There will be visitation with the family before the service from 12:00-2:00 pm. Pastor Dylan Young will lead the celebration.

Donna Watson passed away on August 30, 2023 at age 63.
The Celebration of Life, conducted by Corky Cross, is 4 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2023 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. The family will be accepting friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the service at 4 p.m.
Donna Johnson Watson was born in Lebanon TN to Sammie Dillon Johnson and William Johnson. She worked as an Executive Assistant at First Freedom Bank for 16 years. She enjoyed her kids, the beach and Disney. Her grandkids were her life. She attended Cumberland Presbyterian.
Donna is survived by her husband Claude Watson Jr.; daughters: Paige Watson (Taylor) Sparks and Courtney Watson (Brian) Estep; grandchildren: Molly Estep, Ally Estep, and Watson Sparks; siblings: Danny (Kathy) Johnson and Lisa (Tony) Atchison; and nieces: Shelby Merryman, Rachel Deffendall, and Sarah Frye. She is preceded in death by parents Sammie and William “Brownie” Johnson.

Obituary for Thomas Marion Miller Harned
Tom Harned “Uncle Tommy”, age 61 of Hermitage, TN passed away on Friday August 27, 2023.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday September 16, 2023, at Highland Chapel Church in Ridgetop, TN. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm with the service being held at 12:00 pm, Jon Briggs officiating. The family request you wear orange if you so choose in honor of his love for the University of Tennessee.
Tom was born January 3, 1962, in Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He is proceeded in death by his father Major Carl S. Miller, his mother Mary Ann Agee Miller Harned, stepfather Frank Harned and stepbrother Scott Harned. He was a retired mechanical engineer. Tom was a member of the Greenbrier High School class of 1980 where he excelled in football and baseball. He received his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with honors. Tom was a huge sports fanatic and loved the University of Tennessee sports programs, especially football. He loved to spend time traveling, attending sporting events, and loved his nieces and nephews.
Tom is survived by his brothers Mark Miller (Becky) of Hendersonville, TN, Kelly Harned (Melissa) of Brentwood, TN, Carl Miller (Jo Ann) of Greenbrier, TN and by his sister Melissa Harned Pulley (Christopher Clouse) of Ridgetop, TN: by his nieces, Sara Miller, Katy Miller, Molly Miller, Annalee Miller; by his nephews Eric Harned, Tyler Goode, Sam Miller, Jackson Miller, Kyle Pulley, and Davis Pulley.

Joe Boyd, age 89 of Ashland City, Tennessee, died Sunday, August 27, 2023 at his niece’s home.
Graveside services will be conducted at EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View at 1:00PM on Tuesday, August 29, with Bob Binkley officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Tuesday, August 29th from 10:00AM until 12:00PM and then meet at the cemetery for the graveside service at 1:00PM.
Mr. Boyd was born on February 11. 1934 in Cheatham County, Tennessee to the late Ervin and Dora Binkley Boyd. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired after 30 years with A.O. Smith (formerly State Industries). He was a plain- spoken person and was of the Church of Christ faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Boyd: sisters, Bernice Guston and Billie Tabb; brother, Charles T. Boyd; nephews, Charles Tabb, Billy Guy Tabb; nieces, Nancy Williams and Alice Hudgens.
He is survived by a sister, Peggy Boyd Binkley; nephews, Scott Binkley and Billy Dee Roe; nieces, Bonnie Hudgens, Irene Blaylock, Betsy White, Gail O’Conner, Judy Bates, and Peggy Jo Hartley; and many great nieces and nephews.

Obituary for Sidney Hines Ashburn, “Bubby”
Bubby and his Unit called him “Easy Rider”
Sidney Hines Ashburn, “Bubby”, age 65, of Bowling Green, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 in his home. He was born on August 13,1958, in Springfield, Tennessee to the late Hines Ashburn and Elaine Dillon Ashburn. Sid worked for many years in the heating and air industry, but most of all he was a proud veteran of the Kentucky Army National Guard, 2123 Transportation Unit. He served active duty 4 times, including overseas in Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sid was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was known by his Unit as “Easy Rider”.
Sid is survived by his two children, Cristy (Chip) Carnes of Bowling Green, and Josh Ashburn of Bowling Green; two granddaughters who lit up his world, Leola Ann and Linden Carnes; four sisters, Cindy (Mike) Farmer, Mary Jane Swords, Kelly (Steve) Wilkins, Bonnie Watts; a special aunt, Annelle (Michael) Werner. Nieces, Janie Wilkerson, Sarah Swords-Collins, Michaela Poole, 3 nephews, Mikey Farmer, Steven Swords , and Sam Swords, and two great nephews, Bryant and Braylon Wilkerson.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday and after 10:00 am Thursday all at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Funeral service will be at 12 noon Thursday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel, with burial to follow in the Brock A. Beery Veteran’s Cemetery, with Military Honors. Obituary for Karen Lee Reddemann
Age 67 of Cottontown went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown. She was born June 21, 1956 in San Diego, CA. Karen was employed as a registered nurse for Ascension Saint Thomas and was a very active member of Christ Worship Center in White House. She was also very passionate about animal rescue and had 14 rescue cats and a dog at the time of her death.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth A. & Doris Maxine Wright Reddermann. She is survived by her brother, Mark (Teri) Reddermann; nephew, Joshua Reddermann, both of Madison, WI; several cousins.

Age 55 of Madison passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at her home. She was born September 14, 1967 in Bitburg, Germany. She worked as a manicurist and had most recently worked as a dog groomer. She loved photography, painting and jewelry making. She became a Christian Christmas 2022.
She is survived by her father, Russell L. Tipton, Wildwood, FL; mother, Jackie Lane, Erwin, TN; brother, Rusty (Nancy) Tipton; niece, Jayme Tipton; nephew, David Kyle Tipton; great-niece, Aspen Bradford, all of White House, TN.

Robert Clayton Harris “R.C.”, age 85, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital West in Nashville.

Mr. Harris was born on January 28, 1938, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Robert & Nell Adamson Harris. He was a retired structural steel detailer. He loved to play poker and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Virgil “T.V” Harris and baby brother, William Monroe Harris “Billy”.

Fretta Dawn Cherry McCormack, 54, of Portland, passed from this life on Thursday August 24, 2023, at Skyline Medical Center.

Dawn was born February 5, 1969, in Springfield, to the late Freddie Wayne and Mae Crabtree Cherry. She was a graduate of East Robertson High School Class of 1987 and was a lifelong member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church. She was the former office manager with White House Animal Hospital and was currently working as an office assistant with Davis Brown and Associates in Portland. Dawn loved animals, shopping, going to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren, especially going to all of their ballgames.
Dawn is survived by her husband: Van McCormack of Portland, by her son: Trent Nelson McCormack and wife Katie of Cross Plains, by her grandchildren: Rylan Huntsman and Trace Nelson McCormack, by her sisters: Susan Williams and husband Bobby Joe of Portland, Lori Barnes and husband Donnie of Springfield, and Melody White of Nashville.

Delores Richardson White, age 85 of Springfield, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday August 22, 2023, at her home of over 50 years.
Funeral services were held on Saturday August 26, 2023, at 2 pm in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Traughber officiating. Burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery with Jayce Nichols, Colton Mayers, Jeremy Hire, Alex White, Faith White, Emili White and David Harris serving as pallbearers. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday August 25th from 4 pm to 8 pm and again on Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm.
Mrs. White was born on March 7, 1938, in Springfield to the late W.L. and Dolly Stuard Richardson. Her husband Paul Larry White, a brother Curtis Plunket and a daughter-in-law Anita White also preceded her in death. Delores was a member of Eastland Heights Baptist Church, a member of the Red Hat Club and enjoyed keeping up with family and friends on Facebook and spending time at the Senior Citizens Center. She was a graduate of Coopertown High School and later began a career in nursing retiring as an LPN having worked at both Jesse Holman Jones Hospital and NorthCrest Medical Center where she was active in the NorthCrest Auxiliary after retirement.
Surviving her are her sons, Steve White, Michael White and Vivian; daughter, Stephanie White all of Springfield, brothers, Jim Richardson and Kay of Pleasant View, Tennessee, W.E. Richardson and Cheryl of Foley, Alabama, Larry Richardson and Faye of Springfield and Rick Richardson and Barbara of Water Valley, Mississippi; grandchildren, Alex (Ashley) White, Faith White, Emili White, Jayce Nichols (Kelsey Griggs) and Colton Mayers and one great grandchild, Calliope June Nichols with two more on the way.

Obituary for Brett Joseph Everett
Brett Joseph Everett was born on Sept. 7, 1987 in Orange, CA and passed away on May 16, 2023 in Colton, CA. Brett came into this world filled with love. He was a free, passionate spirit, but it was his love for others, for adventure, and for the world that served as the common thread throughout his life.
He loved his Lord and Savior. Brett was a devout Christian and shared his walk in faith and his deep-rooted relationship with God with anyone who would listen.
He loved his parents, Bruce and Jean, who adopted him and his identical twin brother Bradley, and brought them home at five weeks old. These baby boys were the answer to their prayer to become parents.
He loved his twin brother. The two were kindred spirits and had an uncanny connection that only twins can share.
He loved his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and his cousins. He loved the time spent with family, those near and far.
He loved his friends. His big heart and magnetic, outgoing personality drew people to him. Brett had many friends from many walks of life. He would give the shirt off his back – and anything else – if he thought someone needed it more than he did.
He loved music. Blessed with a God-given musical talent, Brett had a beautiful voice and with just a few lessons, he played keyboard, drums, and guitar. He and Bradly spent a lot of time playing music with a band they formed. Brett quickly learned to play guitar just so he could participate in a Talent Contest in Middle School.
He loved sports and the outdoors. With his slight build and agility, Brett was quite the athlete and played soccer, baseball, football, tennis, and karate. He also loved skate boarding, bicycling, and motorcycle riding. He was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout, making Star Rank.
Brett tragically passed in a bicycle accident, but love was still at the forefront of his death. He was an organ donor and by giving of himself, he saved five lives. It is his love that will forever be remembered.
Brett is survived by: his parents, Bruce and Jean Everett, Cedar Hill, TN; his twin brother Bradley Everett, Cedar Hill, TN; his niece Ava Everett, Redlands, CA; his uncles and aunts, Dennis (Pattie) Everett, Mt. Juliet, TN; Kenneth Everett and Becky Kujawa, Ashely, IL; Jamie (Carleen) Herndon, Cedar Hill, TN; Carolyn Daye Allander, Kaelowna, BC, Canada. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Clair & Irene Everett, maternal grandmother Rene Bowzer, and his cousin Brock Everett Haley.
A graveside service will be held on Sun, Aug, 27th at Bellwood Cemetery in Adams, TN at 2 p.m. with Pastor Rebekah Votral officiating.

Mr. Whitaker was born February 28, 1942 in Robertson County to the late Ester and Elvie Mae Whitaker. He had served as the Maintenance Foreman for the Robertson County Schools Buildings and Grounds Department for many years.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitaker was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Whitaker; brother, Paul Whitaker; and a stepsister, Shirley Whitaker.
He is survived by a son, David Lynn (Stephanie) Whitaker; daughters, Trish (Jeff) Taylor, and Tammy (Lee) Shockney; 6 grandchildren, Brad, Ashley, Sami, Trista, Chase, and Cassie; 12 great grandchildren; and a brother, Jimmy (Brenda Sue) Whitaker.

Mr. Keck was born September 3, 1939 in Maynardville, TN to the late Luna “Looney” and Hattie Walker Keck. He was a Supervisor with the Highway Department for many years, and a member of Cross Plains United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Keck was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Covington Keck; stepson, Mark Traughber; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Diane Traughber Highsmith, and Charles Ed Highsmith; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Melissa was born on November 26, 1967 in Nashville, Tennessee to Patricia “Susie” Ferrell and the late Kenneth Ferrell, Sr. She worked as a phlebotomist in the healthcare field for over 25 years. She loved to fish and was a good cook, especially pastry. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Ferrell, Jr.; and step-son, Nicholas Stewart.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 22 years, Duane Stewart; sons, Richard Parrott, John Parrott, Chris Stewart, and Jeff Stewart; sister, Kimberly (Quentin) Crawford; and numerous grandchildren.

Carol Jean Norris, age 72, of Cedar Hill, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services were conducted at 1pm Saturday, August 26th in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Leonard Marcum officiating. Burial followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jeremiah Norris, Sam Lawson, Stephen Searcy, Ryan Harrell, Michael Staton, and Tyresh Carter serving as pallbearers.
The family received friends from 4-8pm Friday, and again from 11am until time of the service at 1pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Norris was born February 18, 1951, in Nashville, to the late Roy Bryant and Ruby May Cohea. She worked in food service most of her life and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ray Norris; son, Joe Goodfred; and stepsons, Jeffrey Norris, and Ronald Norris.
She is survived by her son, Jeremiah Norris; daughters, Angela McWorter, Precious Norris, Breanna Norris, and Joyce Norris; special children given to them by God, Michael Staton and Adysyn Searcy; and sisters, Terry (Sam) Lawson, Deborah (Marshall) Baker, and Tina (Bo) Staton.

Ronald “Ron” Glenn Elmore, age 66, of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, died Monday, August 21, 2023, at his home.
A Celebration of Life was held at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 4:00PM on Friday, August 25th, with Bro. Randy Riggs assisting in the service along with family & friends.
Visitation with the family was on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00PM until the hour of service at 4:00PM.
Ron was born on September 16, 1956, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, to the late Buddy & Patricia Carawan Elmore. He worked as an MRI technician at the VA Medical Center in Nashville. He loved horses and had a God given gift of writing, playing, and singing music. Ron was a Christian who was the epitome of putting “others before self”.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Elmore; daughter, Ronda Romano; sisters, Kathi Sanders, Leanne (John) Pszenitzki, and Stephanie Richards; several nieces & nephews; and his fur babies, Declan, Tristan, and Gilligan.

Age 72 of Orlinda passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at her home. She was born March 5, 1951 in Nashville, TN Mr. & Mrs. Robert Stout. She worked in sales at Flea Land. She is of the General Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Vickie. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, John Roach, Orlinda, TN; step-son, Jeff Stout, Nashville, TN; 2 step-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Dan Gill officiating. Obituary for Charles Robert “Bobby” Somma, Jr.
Charles Robert Somma Jr., AKA Bobby, passed away on August 20th, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN following a short but courageous battle against cancer.
Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Thursday, August 24, 2023 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bro. Jon Briggs and Bro. Steve Sorrells officiating. Burial followed in the Greenbrier Cemetery with Will Lunn, Justin Couts, Brian West, Josh Callis, Michael Richter, and Tim Cliburn serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Eddings, Joey Smith, Jeff Smith, and the employees of Hollywood Feed.
The family received friends from 4pm Wednesday, August 23rd and again from 12pm until time of the service at 2pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Bobby was born on April 28th, 1978 in Nashville, TN and was raised in Greenbrier, TN. He attended Greenbrier schools and graduated in 1996. Bobby, an avid sports fan, loved all things sports, especially University of Tennessee football, the Titans, Nashville Predators, and Nashville Sounds baseball. He began playing baseball at age 4 and it became, quickly, his #1 sport. Throughout his teens, many have said, he was impossible to strike out at the plate. Although small in stature, he swung a big bat. After high school, Bobby began coaching 13 – 14 yr olds in the Greenbrier Youth baseball league. He taught many young men the value of a strong work ethic and to always respect the game and others.
Bobby was quick to make friends with anyone he met. Most of his lifelong friends didn’t refer to him as a friend, but as a brother. Whether you had went to school with him or if you had met him at work, he was loved by everyone. Even customers at his Hollywood Feed store on White Bridge Rd., where he was the Store Manager, would agree he was a quick friend. He knew it was important to learn his customers names and made their shopping experience personal. He would make sure to ask how their day had been or asked about their pets and their needs. He loved all animals, especially dogs and cats.
Bobby will be missed by his many friends and family. He is proceeded in death by his father, Charles R. Somma Sr., maternal grandparents, Roy B. And Nell Elmore, Aunt, Mary Ann Elmore, and his favorite cat, Puddin. He leaves behind his mother, Bunny Somma of Greenbrier, brother and sister-in-law, J.R. And Michelle Somma of Rossville, TN, niece, Swain Somma, his 4-legged son, Whiskey, and many other “brothers”.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Greenbrier High School Baseball team, or to you local animal shelters.

Timothy “Tim” Glenn Jordan, age 56, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Funeral services were conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 24th, with Bro. Randy Hester officiating. Burial followed in EverRest of Cheatham with Steven Highers, Slate Highers, Luke Templeton, Jarrod Chandler, Justin Weitzman, Jordan Moore, and Trey Moore serving as pallbearers.

Tim was born on February 16, 1967, in Lexington, Tennessee, to Billy & Linda Highers Jordan. He was the owner and operator of Tim Jordan Construction Company. He was a Christian.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Craig Jordan; and his companion, Peggy Roe.

Age 14 of White House passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was born March 8, 2009 in Nashville, TN to Asbiel & Madelayne Lopez Fuentes Benitez. He was a freshman at White House Heritage High School, where he played baseball and was on the wrestling team. Even though he participated in various sports wrestling held a very special place in his heart.
He is survived by his parents, Asbiel & Madelayne Benitez; brother, Asbiel Benitez, Jr; sister, Alice Benitez, all of White House, TN. maternal grandparents, Maria Julia Fuentes, Tampa, FL and Luis R. Curtis Jay Hiner, age 59 of Nashville, Tennessee, died Thursday, August 17, 2023 at his home.
His wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
Curtis was born on July 14, 1964 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Jewell & Bettie Jean Gordon Hiner. He was a musician for over 45 years and that was his greatest love. He was also an assistant manager for 14 years at Dollar General. He loved his family and his friends dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a half-brother, Danny Hiner; and a sister, Renee Pierce.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Brittany (Drew) Pulley; daughters, Taylor Hiner and Katy (Hitalo) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Lynlie Pulley, Kalia Pulley, and Barrett Hier; and the mother of his children, Terri Davis.

Obituary for Robert “Bob” James Derby
Robert “Bob” James Derby, 89, of Cedar Hill died Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at his home after a long illness.
Bob was born May 8, 1934, in Easton, PA to the late Clarence Derby and Beulah Dinstel Ely.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1954–1958. After his honorable discharge, Bob attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology where he received an associate degree in mechanical drafting. Upon completion of his degree, he worked at Bendix Corporation in South Montrose, PA drafting blueprints for aviation instruments for military aircraft. Later, he was employed at N. C. Stauffer and Sons in Factoryville, PA where he drafted blueprints for guards used on industrial equipment at Proctor and Gamble. Bob also started and operated his own business selling and repairing motorcycles, snowmobiles and lawn tractors.
He was an active church member serving as deacon and Sunday school teacher at three churches: Dimock Baptist Church in Dimock, PA, Springville Baptist Church in Springville, PA and Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, TN.
He had a love for cars, motorcycles and airplanes. He won countless trophies as a motocross racer as well as starting a motocross team. He also loved flying and earned his private pilot’s license. He was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed repairing nearly any mechanical device.
Bob will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Janice Hill Derby, daughter Trina Derby Fulton, son-in-law Garry W. Fulton and grandsons Timothy W. Fulton and Stephen M. Fulton.
A graveside service was conducted at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN on Monday, August 21st at 11 am. A memorial service was held at Cedar Hill Baptist Church on Friday, August 25th at 10 am.

Ray Justice “Bordie” Teasley, 74, of Cedar Hill, passed away on Monday August 14, 2023, at his home.
Graveside services were conducted Friday August 18th at 10:00 a.m. in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Tim Harris, Cara King, and Andy Teasley officiating. The family received friends at the graveside service on Friday.
Bordie was born July 19, 1949, in Springfield, to the late Ray Douglas and Hillary Jane Justice Teasley. He was a graduate of Springfield High School and was retired from the Highway Department (TDOT) for the State of Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Rosemary Teasley Dickson.
Bordie is survived by his brother: Jerry Teasley of Cedar Hill.

Gwendolyn Bell Evans, age 81, of Greenbrier, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at Hickory Hills in Hendersonville.

Mrs. Evans was born August 6, 1942 in Nashville, to the late Hugh David and Lottie Mae Bell. She worked for Third National Bank for many years and as an Administrative Assistant for the City of Ridgetop and several other companies. In addition to her employed positions she was a daughter, sister, sister-in-law, wife, mother, cousin, widow, Sugamama (aka grandmother/great grandmother), neighbor, gardener, teacher, coach, athlete, chef, painter, belly dancer, body builder, a crafter of every craft you’ve ever heard of and many you haven’t. She started girl’s softball in Ridgetop and was the first commissioner. She was a collector of many things including American Indian collectibles, dolls, spoons, pictures, cookbooks, coloring books, bird books, flower books, and knickknacks that each have a special story or memory behind them.
The most important thing in life was her family. She loved big and was the most giving person in the world.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Richard William “Billy” Evans; grandchildren, Neely and Lila Evans; and a brother, William Glenn Bell.
She is survived by a son, Kevin (Christy) Evans; daughter, Donna (Mike) Collins; 7 grandchildren, Dual Evans, Bailey Evans, Talon Evans, Tanner Calonge, Presley Calonge, Chris Collins, and Cara Collins; 4 great grandchildren, Baylee Adams, Hudson Evans, Mason Evans, and Neely Evans; brothers, Troy (Lou) Bell, Terry Bell, Ivan (Amy) Bell, Mike (Bonna) Bell, and Garry (Patricia) Bell; and sisters, Teresa (Sonny) Kautzman, and Myra (Donnie) Bryant.
She was adamant about helping to find a cure for Lewy Body Dementia. This disease controlled the last 12 years of her life. It is the family’s goal to help other sufferers and their families.

Ricky was born on July 15, 1959 in Pleasant View, Tennessee, to Rachel Rountree Nicholson and the late Wimp Nicholson. He enjoyed the outdoors where he farmed for many years. Ricky loved Elvis music and loved to fish and hunt. He attended Joelton First Baptist when he could.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Ryan (Lyndi) Nicholson, Dustin (Camren) Nicholson, and Wesley (Brooke) Nicholson; brothers, Steve Nicholson and Marty Nicholson; sister, Judy Nicholson Pittman; mother of his children, Beverly Cobb Nicholson; and grandchildren, Daniel Nicholson, Daisy Nicholson, Cade Nicholson, Sawyer Nicholson, and Piper Nicholson.

Mrs. McClendon was born February 14, 1940, in Tulsa, OK to the late William and Loretta Pickens. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McClendon was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Pickens; and a sister, Katheryn McClendon.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dale Edward McClendon; son, Mark (Kelli) McClendon; daughter, Laura McClendon and husband Matt Eggleston; 4 grandchildren, Emily Lacey, Miles Gatrell, A.J. Gatrell, and Andy McClendon; and 2 great grandchildren, Finnan Lacey, and Clara Lacey.
