Obituary for Austin Dale
Austin Gregory Dale, age 25, of Greenbrier, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at his home. Mr.
Dale’s remains will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 3pm at the Green Ridge Church of Christ with Brother Jack Martin officiating.
Visitation will be held at the church on April 1st from 1pm until the hour of service at 3pm.
Mr. Dale was born October 6, 1997 in Springfield to Richard and Jennifer Sircy Dale of Greenbrier. He worked as a handyman and was a member of the Green Ridge Church of Christ.
Mr. Dale is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert Dale and Carol Anne Sircy.
In addition to his parents Mr. Dale is survived by his grandfather, Richard Sircy; grandmother, Betty Dale; aunts and uncles, Shanna and Clifton Seigworth and Amie and Jack Newsom; and his cousins, Alyson Newsom and D.J. Newsom.

Obituary for Richard Gillingham Sr.
Richard Gordon Gillingham, Sr., age 71, of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, went home to bewith the Lord on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at11:00AM on Thursday, March 23rd, with his son, Richard Gillingham, Jr. and family officiating, and ministering in music will be pianist Ann Marie Williams. Burial will follow in Mallory’s Cemetery at 4965 Thomasville Rd in Chapmansboro with Kenzi Butler, James Tabor, Jr., Philip Gambrell, Sr., Richard Gillingham, III, Philip Gambrell Jr., Caleb Gillingham, Erik Tabor, and Jet Tabor serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Wednesday, March 22nd from 5:00PM until 7:00PM and again on Thursday from10:00AM until the hour of service at 11:00AM.
Mr. Gillingham was born on June 22, 1951, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Gordon Dow & Jeanne Marie Gillingham.
Richard grew up in the Neely’s Bend area of Madison and was a graduate of Madison High School. Soon after graduation, he married his junior high school sweetheart. In 1974, he gave his life to Christ and began an adventure of following the Lord.
He attended Volunteer State Community College and Austin Peay State University. He was a journeyman iron worker (Local 492) and was certified as an expert nuclear welder. Later, he attended Somerset Community College and held an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic license. He was employed at Branam Aviation and John Tune Airport where he worked on fixed wing and rotorcraft. He accepted a position at Tennessee Valley Authority Helicopter Services where he gained the rank of expert in the repair of Huey, Euro-copter ,A Star, and Bell Helicopters. During that time, he was instrumental in the expansion of electric services around Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountain area. After 16 years with TVA, he retired as Director of Maintenance at TVA.
From his childhood he was an avid sailor in a boat as a solo skipper. In his teenage years, he crewed on many boats during regattas. He and his wife raced Hobbie Catamarans around the southeast circuit. In the late 90s, he purchased his 27-foot S2 sailboat, “Unmerited Favor”. He and his wife sailed from Lake Wheeler on the Tennessee River to Kentucky Dam and all the way to Hendersonville on the Cumberland River. They were caretakers and members of the Muscle Shoals Sailing Club in Killen, Alabama.
He saved the world by being a beekeeper and was a member of the Cheatham County Beekeepers Association. He was active with No Greater Love Ministries where he participated in sharing the gospel at Mardi Gras, the Indy 500, and many other places. He believed strongly in the vision of No Greater Love Ministries which is: “Putting the gospel into the hands of faithful men” 2 Timothy 2:2
His greatest accomplishment is the success of raising one son and three daughters who followed in his footsteps by loving the Lord and serving Him. He was a fun grandfather and enjoyed playing games with his grandchildren.
He fought a valiant battle against Lewy Body Dementia and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Samuel Gillingham; and brother-in-law, Ivey Ward Oliphant.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sharman Nash Gillingham; son, Richard G. (Tracy)Gillingham, Jr.; daughters, Wendi E. (Kenzi) Butler, Tiffany M. (James) Tabor, and Chrisy D. (Philip) Gambrell; brothers, Thomas (Mary Lynn) Gillingham and Kevin(Theresa) Gillingham; sister, Barbara Oliphant; grandchildren, Richard G. Gillingham, III, Joy Gillingham, Caleb Gillingham, Zoe Gillingham, Kendra Butler, Eric Tabor, Jet Tabor, Philip Gambrell, Jr., Sjaan Gambrell, and Avy Gambrell; and great-grandchild, Stephen Gambrell.

Obituary for Juanita Flory
Juanita Flory, age 71, of Montpelier, Ohio passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold. She worked in the kitchen at Fairlawn haven for many years, retiring in 1991. Juanita was a member of the Bryan Gospel Tabernacle. She enjoyed spending time at the Montpelier Senior Center, doing crafts, plastic canvases and crocheting.
Juanita was born on April 20, 1951, in Springfield, Tennessee, the daughter of Odell and Rebecca (Smith) Gregory. She married Charles E. Flory on December 12, 1970 in Gainsborough, Tennessee and he survives.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Donald) Underwood, of West Unity; two grandchildren, David (Rebecca) Underwood, of Jacksonville, Florida and Charles Corbin, of Montpelier; great granddaughter, Lucille Underwood, of Jacksonville, Florida; brothers, Clifford (Judy) Gregory, of Cross Plain, Tennessee and Jerry (Phyllis) Gregory, of Macon, Georgia and a sister, Brenda (Scott) Burgess, of Springfield, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Laurie Corbin and brothers, Gilbert, Odell, William and Richard Gregory.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 from 10:00AM-Noon at Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM with Pastor Israel Agular officiating. Private burial will follow at Lockport Cemetery.

Raymond Lee “R.L.” Douglas, 72, of Springfield, passed from this life on Saturday March 18, 2023, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday March 23rd at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Howard Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery with Josh Wright, Kirt Brinkley, Darin Moore, Rodney Hoover, Jeremy Liggit, Beau Morris, Wade McCarroll, and Don Horton serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tina Sorrells, Jim Ball, and R.L.’s former co-workers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
R.L. was born March 31, 1950, in Springfield, to the late Robert Lee and Margie Stroud Douglas. He was a graduate of Jo Byrns High School and was of the Baptist faith. R.L. was the director of the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in Robertson County for over 25 years. He retired from that position in 2019. R.L. was the go too person for many of the other agencies that operated within Robertson County when it came to citizen protection and wellbeing. He was a wealth of knowledge and was always a dependable resource for whatever was going on at the time. He accumulated many award and training certificates over the years and was always dedicated to his chosen career that he loved so much. In his spare time, R.L. enjoyed traveling, his animals, listening to his scanner, spending time with his family, and would always do anything that he could for anyone.
R.L. is survived by his wife: Diane Dennis Douglas of Springfield, by his son and daughter-in-law: Dennis and Jessica Spangler of Hartsville, by his brother and sisters-in-law: Teddy and Staci Douglas of Springfield, Janice McGhee of Greenbrier, Barbara (Wayne) Kirby of Springfield, by his mother-in-law: Mildred Dennis of Springfield, by his grandchildren: Austin and Addysyn Spangler, by his nephews: John Michael Gilbert and wife Crystal, and Ryan Gilbert, by his niece: Leanna Kirby, by his great nephews: Wyatt Gilbert, Caleb Valazquez, and Christian Kirby, by his great nieces: Ocoee and Harley Gilbert, and by his dear friend: Tina Sorrells of Greenbrier.

Obituary for Patrick “Chip” Murphy
Patrick “Chip” Murphy, age 66 of Goodlettsville, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Bible Baptist Church in Hendersonville at 12:00 PM with Pastor Aaron Snodderly and Dr. Greg Muntch officiating. A private family burial will be held at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Gary Sipe, David Reeder, Steve Dodson, Dan Murphy, Tim Murphy, and Greg Murphy serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of service.
Chip was born December 28, 1956 in Trenton, NJ to the late Thomas E. and Winifred Anderson Murphy. He worked at Ed’s Supply in Clarksville as the manager where he has worked for 47 years. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Hendersonville where he served as a deacon. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving him are his wife, Joy Wells Murphy of Goodlettsville; son, Justin Wells (Jessica) Murphy of Greenbrier; daughter, Tyra Murphy (Mikel) Woodall of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, Tynleigh Wells Murphy and Ezykiel Tyson Woodall; brothers, Tim (Sheryl) Murphy of Bellevue, Greg (Dawn) Murphy of Fredericksburg, VA, and Dan Murphy of Houston, TX; and sister, Bonnie Murphy (Jeff) Shunk of Tampa, FL.

Obituary for Robert Gordon Grundy
Robert Gordon Grundy, 80, of White House, TN sadly left us on Saturday, March 19, 2023. Robert was born in Detroit, MI to Robert J. and Benita Scofield Grundy on December 1, 1942. He grew up in Royal Oak, MI and graduated from George A. Dondero High School. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era in the U.S. Army, where he was honorably discharged. He was a member of the DAV and the American Legion Post #206 in White House. He attended Farris State University in Big Rapids, MI and majored in Business Administration. He worked in sales, sales management and distribution marketing for many years. Later in life, he began substitute teaching for Robertson County Schools. It brought him much joy and the students affectionately called him “Mr. Bob”. Robert was married to Dorothy Skurski Grundy for 45 years before her passing in 2015. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Robert enjoyed sports of all kinds. He played high school football, baseball and hockey. He was a baseball umpire for a while and loved to attend games at the local high schools. He also enjoyed reading, bird watching and spending time with his granddaughters.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Grundy; sister, Linda Cronk. He is survived by his loving daughter, Debbie (Greg) Nance; granddaughters, Maddie and Courtney Nance, all of White House, TN; sister, Janet Lee Beaudette, St. Clair Shores, MI.
Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Ashley Mofield officiating. Robin “Dale” Durham, age 67 of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, died Friday, March 17, 2023 at NorthCrest Medical Center.

Mr. Durham was born on June 15, 1955 in Houston, Texas to the late Pete & Laura Mae Holt Durham. He was a drywall installer for over 30 years. He loved racing, especially Dale Earnhardt. Dale had a big heart and loved giving back to others. He loved yard work and always looked forward to Spring to plant his garden.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Durham; and sister Angel May.
Survivors include his daughters, Ann (Roger) Thompson and Phyllis Reeves (Jason Lovell); brothers, Tom & Raymond; sister, Rita Faye ; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hensley was born on February 3, 1940, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Denver & Ida Forti Hensley. He was a retired truck driver.

Bill, “Big Orange”-,Age 72 of Goodlettsville passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the VA Medical Center in Nashville. He was born March 24, 1950 in Columbia, TN to Lois Clifford & Annie Frances Taylor Reddick. He worked in the parts department of Hansen Chrysler before becoming disabled. Mr. Reddick proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lou Wanda Reddick; brothers, Wayne Whitby and Tony Whitby. Obituary for Windell Allen Campbell
Age 81 of Cottontown passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 in Lascassas, TN at his daughter’s home. He was born January 14, 1942 in East Chicago, IN to Orville Campbell and Johnnie Ruth Peterson. He worked as a flooring installer until his retirement. Mr. Campbell had loved country, bluegrass and gospel music since he was a young boy. He enjoyed playing the banjo and was talented to play just about any stringed instrument. He also loved classic cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Campbell; sisters, Betty Sweeten and Virginia Watts. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Campbell, Cottontown, TN; son, Jeff (Debbie) Campbell, Nashville, TN; daughters, Wendy (Chris) Fults, Lascassas, TN, Amanda ((Mark) Hlad, Gallatin, TN. Bryant Shawn Basham, age 34 of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Albert Enriquez officiating. Burial followed in Berea Cemetery in Logan County, KY. The family received friends on Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Bryant was born January 4, 1989, in Nashville. He worked as a carpenter doing remodeling. He loved his children and enjoyed playing and working on his computer. He was described by his family as a prankster, always having a good time.
He is survived by his wife, Casey Basham of Pegram; sons, Zakry Basham of Greenbrier, Tyler Basham of Pegram, Jacob Basham of Pegram, Liam Basham of Springfield, and Sebastian Roberts of Springfield; daughter, Isabella Basham of Pegram; mother, Wendy Adams of Springfield, father; Louis Grady Basham, grandmother, Carol Owens of Springfield; brothers, Larry Willis of Springfield, Chris Adams of Springfield, and Benjamin Adams of Greenbrier; and sisters, Leslie Basham and Alesha Basham, both of Gallatin.

Dimple Elizabeth Balthrop Gupton, 87, of Chapmansboro, died, Saturday, March 11, 2023, at her home.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Penny Stratton officiating. Burial followed in Mallory Cemetery in Chapmansboro with Preston Murphy, Rodney Balthrop, Clay Balthrop, Joshua Gupton, Matthew King, and Dwayne Moore serving as pallbearers. The family received friend on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Mrs. Gupton was born on October 16, 1935, to the late Elbert Samuel and Martha Elizabeth Morris Balthrop. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Noel Curtis Gupton, her daughter-in-law; Cathy Gupton, and her siblings; Burton Balthrop, RW Balthrop, Dorothy Hudgens, Dorris Balthrop, JB Balthrop, Howard Balthrop, Frances Head, Ray Balthrop, Frank Balthrop, and Clyde Balthrop. Mrs. Gupton was a member of the Brewers Chapel United Methodist Church. Out of high school she started working as a banker for First Trust and Savings. She worked there for over 40 years. She enjoyed sports, the outdoors, and loved being at home.
She is survived by sons; Michael C. Gupton and wife Joyce of Adams, Keith Gupton of Cedar Hill, sisters; Bonnie Moore of Pleasant View, Faye Murphy of Sandy Springs, grandchildren; Teata King and husband Daniel, Jessica Clinard and husband Jimmy, Karen Gupton Burchett, Jeremy House, Jessica Hicks and husband Chris, Joshua Gupton and wife Katie, and 14 Great Grandchildren.

Obituary for Donald Richard Dorris
Donald Richard Dorris was born in Greenbrier, Tennessee, on July 30, 1927. He grew up farming in Robertson County surrounded by his loving family. After enlisting in the Navy for WWII and attending Peabody College, he married the love of his life, Ada Ruth Moses on August 12, 1951. After graduating college, he taught multiple subjects at Hillsboro and Stratford High Schools. He fell in love with teaching the countless students who walked through the classroom doors of his shop class. He was a faithful member of Wartrace United Methodist Church in Springfield, Tennessee. In his personal life, he maintained his family’s legacy of farming by providing fresh produce to family, friends, and his neighbors of Berry Hill. In his later life, he was a constant presence to his grandchildren, rooting for them at games, concerts, and any endeavor. Markedly, he fully lived out Christ’s call to love his neighbor as himself. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Dorris; his four daughters, Beverly Keogh (Steve), Elaine Dorris, Anita Foutch (Kevin), and Janet Arning (Ed); his brother Billy Wayne Dorris (Linda); his grandchildren Jesse Keogh (Noel), Rev. Wesley Arning (Megan), Carly Keogh, and Jake Arning (Hannah); his great-granddaughter Hannah Lee Arning; and many loved nieces and nephews.
A Gathering of Family and friends for Donald was held Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. The Celebration of Life for Donald was at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with a Gathering of Family and Friends an hour before the service. Graveside service with military honors followed the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Larry Kenneth Christy, age 87, of Ashland City, Tennessee, died Sunday, March 12, 2023 at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Funeral services were conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 18th, with Bro. Greg Smith officiating. Burial followed in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville with Calvin Welk, Gene Ray, Zachary Christy, Cailyn Christy, Grant Christy, and Isaac Christy serving as pallbearers.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 17, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM and again on Saturday from 10:30AM until the hour of service at 12:00 noon.
Mr. Christy was born on February 20, 1936, in Cheatham County, Tennessee to the late William & Kathryn Christy. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Trane after 36 years. He was an avid Tennessee sports fan, but his favorite athletes to support were his grandkids. Mr. Christy loved to farm and was known as the best tomato grower in the country. He was a member of Cheap Hill Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Greg Christy; and sister, Evelyn Bierman.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joanne Christy; son, Daron (Melissa) Christy; brother, Ray (Geraldine) Christy; sister, Edith Dockstader; and grandchildren, Zachary Christy, Cailyn Christy, Grant Christy, and Isaac Christy.

Obituary for Howell Stennis Smith
Howell “Poppy” Stennis Smith was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. With a quick wit and his dry sense of humor, he was a legend in the advertising world. Stennis was a creative genius and through the years he wrote commercials and jingles for many local and national businesses. Stennis had many friends. He was an avid boater, enjoyed playing golf, loved everything Vandy, but loved his family the most! He was married to his high school sweetheart, Paula Easley Smith, for almost 64 years. They shared a wonderful life including 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. They always lived locally but enjoyed many worldly travels, as well as a lot of “Big Chill” fun at the beach.
Surrounded by his adoring family, Stennis left this world to join his heavenly Father on March 11, 2023.
He was born to H.S. Smith & Juanita Smith on April 12,1937 in Shreveport, LA. He graduated from Issac Litton High School in Nashville, TN (Class of 1955). He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Vanderbilt University in 1959. At Vanderbilt he was on a full scholarship to play football as quarterback. After college, he started in sales & marketing at Channel 5 (WTVF) in Nashville, TN. He later went on to become a founding partner of Smith & Sellers Advertising Agency with his partner Stan Sellers. They rocked the advertising world for over 20 years. After Stan’s unfortunate death, Stennis formed a partnership with his son, Michael Smith to start The Smith Group. Stennis semi-retired in 2007 but he couldn’t stay away from the ad world and started “The Other Side of Sports” with his friend Hope Hines for 8 years.
Stennis is preceded in death by his father H.S. Smith, his mother Juanita Smith, and his granddaughters Lauren Agee and Sarah Goodman.
He is survived by his wife Paula Easley Smith, children – Kelley Smith Goodman, Michael S. Smith (Sherry), & Julie Smith Carr (Greg), sister – Karen Knox (Sonny), grandchildren – Lily Goodman Jones (Marshall), Chloe Goodman & Joseph Goodman, Josh Smith, Jordan Smith, Alexandra Carr Funk (Brandon), Tanner Carr, Nicholas Carr (Ashlye) and great-grandson Liam Carr.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3pm on March 20, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville, TN. Visitation will be in the church 12-3pm before the funeral.

Obituary for Stevie Smith
Stephanie Anne “Stevie” Smith, age 73, of Chapmansboro, Tennessee passed away peacefully at her home on March 11, 2023.
Stevie was born on November 10, 1949, in the mountains of Jenkins, Kentucky. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved her family and friends immensely. She was an avid baker, a skilled crafter, and beautiful singer. Her favorite titles, however, were the ones of “Momma” and “Meme.” She will be missed greatly, but the legacy of her love will remain as a constant reminder of her memory.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Bob and Betty Shockey; and her sister, Paula Binkley.
Stevie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Garry Smith; her daughter Marsha (Gary) Garrett; her “precious grandbabies” Taylor and Logan Garrett; her aunt Charlcia Keener; sister-in-law, Renee Kelley; and brother-in-law, Jeff Binkley.
No service has been arranged at this time. A graveside service will be planned at a future date.

Obituary for Hobart “Leon” Jones
Age 84 of Springfield passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 at NHC in Springfield. He was born February 6, 1939 in Millersville, TN to Curtis and Hattie Pryor Jones. He was the owner/operator of Quality Tennessee Tree Service. Mr. Jones enjoyed farming, especially caring for his cows and his tractors. He loved spending time with his family, and he really enjoyed family get togethers.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy Jones; daughter Pam Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Laura (Roger) Wood; grandson, Austin Wood, both of Springfield, TN; brothers, Bill (Faye) Jones, White House, TN and Fred (Debbie) Jones, Greenbrier, TN; sister, Betty Vaughn, El Paso, TX.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Mark Jones officiating. Interment followed at 3:30pm in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Austin Wood, Isaiah Short, Jared Justice, Mason Belcher, Collin Belcher and Jacob Lawrence serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Jones, Fred Jones and Fred Jones, Jr. Visitation with the family was Tuesday, March 14, 2023 10am until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Obituary for Patricia Crowe
Patricia “Pat” Ann Crowe, 94, of Springfield, Tennessee, passed away on March 10, 2023. She was born in Sparta, Wisconsin to Marvin Libke and Ruth Libke (DeHart), on June 13, 1928. She grew up with six siblings and many other family members in the close-knit community.
At the age of 18, she married Walter Ray Crowe who served in the United States Army, in a small ceremony in 1947. Together they would have three sons; Danny, Robert, and Randy Crowe. She remained a loyal housewife and mother, while Walter served for 24 years in various assignments to include the Korean War and Vietnam War. Despite tragedy falling upon the family with the death of their eldest son, Danny Crowe, their other two sons would soon grow up to serve life long careers in the United States Armed Forces.
She was well traveled and enjoyed crafting, baking, painting, writing, and reading. She was a loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and many more.
She is survived by her sons: Robert Crowe and his wife Sheri Crowe (Springfield, TN) and Randy Crowe and his wife Beth Crowe (Holly Springs, NC); granddaughters: Melissa Beamon (South Mills, NC), Michelle Gaskins (Chesapeake, VA), Brandy Vander Sys (Wichita Falls, TX); and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Marvin and Ruth Libke; husband Walter Crowe; son Danny Crowe; grandson Austin Crowe; and several siblings.
As per her wishes, a later ceremony will take place in Sparta, Wisconsin, for her and her late husband as they are laid to rest next to their late son Danny.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to make a donation in her honor to the American Heart Association.

Mr. Jackson was born on September 27, 1937 to the late Earl Stonewall and Irene Dunner Jackson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his son, Kennith Wayne Jackson, grandson, Ernest Kennith Wayne Jackson, brothers, Clayton Jackson, G.F. Jackson, Melvin Jackson, and GeneRoy Jackson, his sisters, Mavis Surratt, and Norma Sue Bayliss. He was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson worked for over 30 years at TRANE as a brake press operator. He loved fishing and gardening.

Obituary for Barbara Jean (Vess) Howard
Beloved wife and mother Barbara Jean (Vess) Howard was born in Washington, D.C, on September 19, 1941, to Junius Vess, and Edna (Anderson) Vess. On March 07, 2023, at 12:17 pm [at the age of 81 years] she was carried by the angels to rest in peace with the Lord. Her father, mother, and the main body of her family were from Orange County, Virginia; where she spent some years with her Uncle Abner Anderson.
In her early years she was a devout Catholic, and graduated from Spingarn High School in Washington, D.C.She married her husband Abraham Howard Jr. on November 25, 1961: this union brought forth four sons, and lasted for sixty-one years. Over the course of the marriage, she became a Pentecostal Believer, and a beloved Mother in the First Assembly of God Church, Clarksville, Tennessee.
When available, she traveled with her husband all over the United States, and parts of Europe to his different Army post assignments. To improve herself she attended college courses at Austin Pay University, Clarksville, Tennessee.
When stationed at Fort Sheridan, Illinois her husband started a Full Gospel Church Program in the post chapel.She joined in by teaching Sunday school, and attending to the female congregants. This experience enabled her to become a teacher assistant at the First Assembly of God Church/school in Clarksville, Tennessee. When Fort Sheridan closed down, she started a Home Day Care Provider Service at her home in North Chicago, Illinois.She loved children and was called Mother Barbara by all of her clients. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading the bible, answering bible trivia questions, reading detective novels, and solving puzzles. She also, loved TV programs like Percy Mason, Gunsmoke, British Mysteries, and do it yourself home improvement series.
Proceeding her in death are her [father] Junius Vess, [mother] Edna Vess, [sister] Ruth Fletcher, [niece] Robin Fletcher, [daughter-in-law] Rizzeria Howard, (great niece] Africa Fletcher, and [uncle] Abner Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Abraham Howard Jr. of Springfield, TN; children: Michael Anthony Howard. Stan was born December 23, 1957, in Springfield, to the late James Eugene “Beanny” and Edalene Frogge Richards. He was a graduate of Jo Byrns High School Class of 1976 and where he played football. Stan was a lifelong farmer and a member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church. He loved working and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: James Steven Richards.

Mrs. Burney was born June 12, 1947 in Springfield to the late Douglas Brown and Mona Noreen Pigg Binkley. She was a Computer Technologist with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) for many years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burney was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Burney; brothers, Joe Binkley, Michael Binkley and Ben Binkley; and a sister, Patty Binkley.

Linda Sue Curtis, age 73 of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Hillcrest Health Care in Ashland City.
Graveside services were conducted at EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View at 3:00PM on Sunday, March 12th, with Bro. David Royalty officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers. There was no visitation at the funeral home.
Mrs. Curtis was born on April 2, 1949 in Madison, Indiana to the late Hubert & Mary Evans Montgomery. She was retired as a seamstress. She loved her game shows, The Price is Right, Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune. Ms. Curtis loved her family and her grandchildren very much and was a member of First Baptist Church in Joelton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Curtis; children, Jerry Groves, Rusty Curtis, and Tony Groves.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Vanette Groves; and her grandchildren, Casey Groves, Shane Curtis, Cheyanne Groves, Cassie Groves, Makayla Curtis, and Jethro McQuiston.
