Jeff Glodoski Named New Springfield Fire Chief
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – After 44 years of service to the citizens of Springfield, Fire Chief Jimmy Hamill retired back in January. FULL STORY Now Springfield city leaders have chosen a successor.
According to a release by the city of Springfield Monday, Jeff Glodoski, an 18-year veteran with the department, has been named the department’s new fire chief.
Following Jimmy’s retirement, Glodoski had been acting as the department’s interim Fire Chief.
Glodoski is a graduate of Volunteer State Community College, with an associate’s degree in Fire Science.
Before joining the Springfield Fire Department, Glodoski spent three years as a firefighter with the Cross Plains Fire Department and two years as part-time EMT with Robertson County EMS.
Glodoski told Smokey Barn News that he’s looking forward to continuing to serve the citizens of Springfield.
“We have some dedicated, hard-working employees at the Fire Department,” said City Manager Gina Holt. “I am confident that Chief Glodoski’s leadership will continue to provide the citizens of Springfield with a first-rate Fire Department.”
