Kentucky Police Chase Ends With Crash In Robertson County

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – One person is in custody after a high speed chase that started in Logan County Kentucky and ended just outside of Springfield.

Officials tell Smokey Barn News that the pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed into another vehicle on Highway 431 just outside of Springfield. (Location of crash)

After the crash, the suspect, in what we believe was a stolen vehicle out of Logan County, fled on foot to a nearby church where he was apprehended by authorities and,  according to to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, transferred back to Kentucky.

According to officials, the small red car impacted a jeep with enough force to knock out its rear axle. After impact, the small red car continued on and crashed into a utility pole.

Initially, after the suspect, now identified as Toyvious L. Babb, 24, of Springfield, fled on foot, there was a call for canine units but that call was canceled after the suspect was taken quickly into custody.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash and 431 N. is now open with traffic moving.
