Local Deputy Wins Highway Safety Award
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – On December 16, 2016, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (formerly the Governor’s Highway Safety Office) held its annual Middle Tennessee Law Enforcement Network meeting in Murfreesboro, TN.
The annual meeting recognizes agency and individual achievements that have made Tennessee highways and roads safer for all citizens. This year, one of our own was recognized. Sergeant Nicholas Roberts was named the Drug Recognition Expert of the Year.
Sgt. Roberts has been committed to furthering his own knowledge of how to identify drugs and those impaired by drugs. He has also been dedicated to sharing his knowledge through training sheriff’s office personnel and testifying as an expert in cases regarding drug and impairment identification.
