Manhunt For Alleged Cop Shooter Moves Into Robertson County

UPDATE: 11:40 am, Police K9s picked up the suspect’s scent heading across I65 so they have closed the interstate to allow the dogs to continue tracking.

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –  Authorities have issued a Blue Alert as the search for a man who allegedly shot a Hendersonville officer last night moves into Robertson County.

According to Millersville Police, the suspect vehicle that was allegedly driven by the individual that shot the Hendersonville officer last night was located on Cycle Lane off of Bethel Road this morning. (SEARCH AREA)

Authorizes have K9s on the ground and helicopters in the air as they search for Edwards.  “We are asking everyone in the area to be vigilant as the suspect has not been apprehended,” police said.

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:  Police are looking for 34-year-old Samuel Edwards, a white male with dark hair and receding hair line. Edwards was seen wearing a light-colored T-shirt, dark shorts, and dark tennis shoes.  Armed with two long rifles the suspect is considered dangerous. Edwards is wanted by Metro Nashville PD and TBI for Attempted Criminal Homicide and Evading Arrest by Motor Vehicle.
He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.  Edwards also faces a charge of Attempted 1st Degree Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer.
