Millersville Man Shot In The Head During Altercation

MILLERSVILLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Millersville man has been transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville in critical condition after receiving a gun shot wound to the head.

The shooting took place around 2:30am Saturday morning at a residence located in the 5000 block of Slaters Creek Access Rd. MAP According to Lieutenant Dustin Carr with Millersville police, the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene to assist in the investigation.

According to Lieutenant Carr, two people, both males, were transported to area hospitals. One has a single gun-shot wound to the head, and the other was transported with unspecified injuries.

According to Carr,  the shooting took place during an altercation between two individuals that are possibly related.

The shooting victim is in critical condition, Carr said.

The second individual was transported to a hospital in Hendersonville with unspecified injuries and was later released.

According to Lieutenant Carr,  no criminal charges have been filed at this time.

Police said there is no danger to the surrounding community.

The investigation is in the early stages Carr said, as more information becomes available we will bring it to you.
