(Update – Found) Missing Autistic Child (ON FOOT) Off Hwy 161 In Springfield
UPDATE 7PM: The child was found by a citizen and is safe. EMS is currently checking out the boy as a precaution.
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A multi-agency search is underway for a Missing Child near Boyd Holland and Highway 161 just outside Springfield city limits.
CHILD DESCRIPTION: AGE 12-year-old white male Autistic, wearing a black t-shirt and khaki shorts.
TIMELINE: Reports indicate the child has been missing since about 4:30 pm.
Robertson County EMS, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, North Robertson Fire & Rescue, and the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, all responded. The Adams Fire Department was also called in for additional manpower but called off when the child was found while they were en route.
Search teams and 2 Robertson County Emergency Management Agency K9 rescue dogs are on the ground. Officials are asking residents to check Ring Cams and any other security cameras and look out for the child.
