New Robertson County Schools Magnet Program Prepares To Launch
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Robertson County Schools are now accepting applications for its new Innovation Academy. This middle school magnet program will focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), and it will open with the 2016-17 school year at Springfield Middle School.
The program will be academically rigorous, focusing on Project Based Learning activities that integrate all subject areas and prepare students for college and career. Students will engage in hands-on, technology based activities while exploring how to solve problems in and around our community.
With business and college partnerships, this program will give students the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills to solve problems that are faced by many industries in our community. Students will incorporate the arts in extracurricular activities and presentations of projects to community leaders.
Parent meetings are scheduled for Monday, April 4th at 5:00 pm and Thursday, April 7th at 4:00 and 6:00 pm in the library at Springfield Middle School.
