Sharon (Brown) Clinard
November 21, 1956 ~ March 2, 2025 (age 68)
Sharon Ann Brown Clinard, 68, of Madison, and formerly of Springfield, passed from this life on Sunday March 2, 2025, at her home. Funeral services were held Thursday March 6th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Sharon was born November 21, 1956, in Franklin, Tn to the late Carl Edward and Janie Evelyn Beard Brown. She was the owner of a crafts store in Greenbrier for many years and was of the Freewill Baptist faith. Sharon loved crafts, baking, gardening, decorating cakes, and spending time with her family, especially her son Tommy. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband John Randall Clinard.
Sharon is survived by her son: Thomas Clay “Tommy” Lunn of Hermitage, by her brothers: James Allen (D’Anna) Brown of Daytona, FL and Rick (Sandra Marsh) Brown of Springfield, by her sister: Karen (William) Anderson of Nashville, by her nieces: Christa Brown, Lindsey Wilson, and Desiree’ Taylor Anderson, and by her nephews: Michael Brown and William Anderson, Jr.

Frances (Carr) Adcock
April 28, 1942 ~ March 6, 2025 (age 82)
Frances Lorine Adcock, age 82, of Springfield, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Frances was born on April 28, 1942, in Robertson County to the late Howard Carr and the late Mary Gregory Lipscomb. She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1962 and was a long-standing member of North Springfield Baptist Church. Frances worked over 40 years at Rand McNally/Nicholstone Bookbinder in Nashville and finished her career at Dometic Mobile Products in Greenbrier, and thereafter retired in 2023. She had an avid love of gardening, crafts, ceramics, and bowling.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband, Ralph Adcock, and by her sisters, Doretha Carr, Mary Ellen Mondt, and Mildred Groves.
Frances is survived by her loving husband: John L. “J.L.” Pearson, Sr. of Springfield, sons: Christopher (Linda) Adcock of Springfield and Jeffrey (Kristee) Adcock of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Matthew Adcock, Amber Adcock, Tyler Adcock, and Baleigh Adcock, and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15th at 2:00 pm in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Smith and Pastor Lunden Ruhstaller officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be at the funeral home on Saturday, March 15th from 10:00 am until service time at 2:00 pm.

Thad Tatum
August 21, 1970 — March 3, 2025

Thad F. Tatum, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 3, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on August 21, 1970, in Scottsville, Kentucky, Thad was known for his lifelong dedication to the power industry, having devoted 18 years of his career to Nashville Electric Service. His work often took him to storm-battered areas where he restored power to those in need, embodying a spirit of service and commitment that defined his professional life.
Thad’s personality was characterized by kindness and a willingness to lend a helping hand, making him a cherished figure in the lives of many. He was hardworking, funny, and an avid supporter of the Kentucky Wildcats, sharing his passion with family and friends. Thad’s greatest joy came from helping those he loved, especially spending time with his beloved granddaughter, Kylee Cheyenne Tatum.
Thad is survived by his wife, Robin Tatum; son, Kyle Chandler Tatum (Cheyenne Brionna); grandchildren, Kylee Cheyenne Tatum and Isaiah Chandler; father, Browder Tatum (Deborah); and mother, Carol Chandler. He also leaves behind his siblings, Sue Ann Wilkinson (Tim), Sarah Tatum Reid (Travis), and Josh Tatum; as well as nieces Victoria Ann Wilkinson and Collins Reid, and nephews Dash and Sal Reid, among other nieces and nephews.
His proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him as Grandpa. Thad will be remembered not only for his commitment to his profession but also for the warmth and love he brought to his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home and Cremation Services in White House, TN, on March 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at White House Memorial Gardens.

Elvis Earl Simmons
August 27, 1931 — March 4, 2025
Elvis Earl Simmons, an esteemed member of the community and beloved family man, passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 93. Born in Bowling Green, KY, Elvis was a source of positivity and laughter to all who knew him.
Elvis dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career in the electrical field, where he spent years working with Hitt Electric, State Electrical Inspection in Sumner County, and 25 years for Morgan Electric. He was known for his hard work ethic and a cheerful demeanor, often brightening the day of those around him with his humor and jovial spirit. Beyond his professional achievements, he served honorably in the United States Army and then in the Army Reserve for five years.
A proud father and grandfather, Elvis took immense pride in his family. He is survived by his daughter, Wanda (Roy) Morgan; son, Michael (Rhonda) Simmons; grandchildren Jason (Jennifer) Morgan, John (Brooke) Morgan, and Brandy Tidwell, as well as his great-grandchildren Carolyn, Jacob, Eric, Jack, Logan, Ava, and Zander, who affectionately called him “Granddaddy.”
Elvis enjoyed a vibrant life filled with hobbies and interests. He treasured family vacations at Disney World, especially relishing the opportunity to enjoy the exquisite food there. An avid golfer, he found joy in spending time on the greens and participated in lottery games with friends from work. Furthermore, his commitment to community service was exemplified by his role as a Trustee for Bible Baptist Church and serving on the board of directors for The City Goodlettsville and Metro Nashville Council.
Elvis was a genuinely happy individual who desired to remain active and engaged in his community, even dedicating time to work alongside his great-grandson.
Elvis was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 72 years, Wilma Jean Simmons; sisters Virginia Wiltshire and Jo Spalding; and his parents, Elvis and Ruby Simmons. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the joy he brought to those around him.
Visitation services will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Goodlettsville, TN. The details for addressing friends and family include visitations on March 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on March 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Celebration of Life will follow the morning visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Tommy Sutton

Tommy Sutton, a cherished husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on October 27, 1939, Tommy spent his life dedicated to both his family and his work, which included a remarkable career at DuPont that spanned over 33 years before his well-deserved retirement.
Throughout his life, Tommy found great joy in a variety of pastimes. He was an avid golfer, often relishing the gentle challenge of the course, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of riding his John Deere tractor and riding mower around his property. Tommy also shared a love of travel with his beloved wife, Belinda. Together for 37 wonderful years, they explored new places and created countless memories.
Tommy is survived by his devoted wife, Belinda Sutton, along with his children, Melanie Ferguson (Tommy) and Tommy Sutton, Jr. (Janet). He also leaves behind stepchildren Belinda and Kevin, as well as nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his extended family.
In reflecting on his legacy, we remember Tommy not only for his professional accomplishments but also for the love he shared with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland Sutton and Sarah Sutton Hutchinson, and three brothers.

Gary Wayne Bingham, Sr.

Gary Wayne Bingham, Sr., “PawPaw” a beloved father and grandfather, passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on January 19, 1950, Gary lived a life marked by his unique blend of sarcasm, carefree spirit, and simple joys. He leaves behind fond memories for family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Gary served honorably in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his sense of duty and pride in serving his country.
Gary was well-known in his community for his spunky personality and his talent for making friends wherever he went. His hobbies, which included leisurely walks around Millersville and tending to his beloved tomato plants, were perfect reflections of his uncomplicated yet joyful approach to life.
He is survived by his son, Gary (Susan) Bingham, Jr.; daughter, Susie Reddick; grandchildren, Deandra Nichols, Georgia Reddick, Afton Bingham, and Aubree Bingham; great-grandson, Carson Wright; siblings, Gerald (Joan) Bingham, Sharon Lawson, JB (Eddie) Phillips, and Merrilyn Gatlin; as well as several nieces and nephews. His spirit and laughter will undoubtedly be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Gertha Bingham, and his sisters, Joy McGowan. While his absence leaves a void in the hearts of many, his legacy of friendship and love will endure.
Visitation services will be held on March 11, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home and Cremation Services in White House, TN. Ronald Coleman Capps was born on April 26, 1943, in Lewisburg, TN, and departed this life on March 4, 2025, in White House, TN. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy filled with love, family, and cherished memories. Ronald was known for his kind and loving nature, characteristics that he extended to everyone around him. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, allowing his wife, Judy Capps, to stay home and care for their children.
He faithfully served the Lord as a deacon at First Baptist Church Ridgetop for many years, demonstrating his deep commitment to ministry and the church. Recently he transitioned to Orlinda Baptist Church and continued to service his Lord and Savior with the same dedication and passion. He is survived by his children Chris (Susan) Capps and Tracey (Bo) White, as well as his grandchildren: Matthew (Samantha) Capps, Bryan (Courteney) Capps, J.C. (Kari) White, and Autum (Clayton) Tandy. Ronald was also a proud great-grandfather to Austin, Amaraye, Gracie, Collins, Gatlin, Laynee, and Tatum.
Furthermore, he embraced his role as a step-grandfather to Crystal Phelps and Steven Phelps and took joy in his step-great-grandchildren: Karson, Koby, Damian, Dixie, Christian, Haley, Aaron and Nicholas and his kind caregiver, Taylor Ward. Ronald is also remembered fondly by his surviving family members, including his stepmother, Jane Capps, and his brothers, Joe (Beverly) Capps and Freddie (Barbara) Capps.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Judy, his sisters Betty Capps and Barbara “Bobby” Capps Roberts, and his parents, Coleman Eugene Capps and Margaret Mabry Funeral Service will be held on Mon., March 10th at 1 pm at Springfield Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 PM on March 9, and again from 11 – 1PM on March 10. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM in Springfield Memorial Gardens.

Elizabeth Wilson James, age 93 of Springfield, died peacefully Friday, February 14, 2025, at her assisted living facility in Beaver Creek, Ohio.
Visitation, Remembrance, and Interment services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Visitation will be from 1-2 pm with a remembrance celebration from 2-2:30 pm inside the chapel at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
Graveside services will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens at 2:30 pm. The graveside service will be led by Father Jacoba Hurst from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Springfield, TN.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Jody Anderson (Tim) of Dayton, OH; her son Robert James, Jr (Tammy) of Nashville, and her beloved cat, Trixie.
In 1967 with her husband “Bob” and two children, she moved to Springfield to establish a new life. She became active in Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and volunteer work at Jesse Holman Jones Hospital. She was a member of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (organist), Short Story Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, and the Robertson County Historical Society and Museum, as well as other social organizations.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to either Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue or a Memory Care Charity or Rescue of your choosing.

Marjorie Ann Traughber
January 21, 1937 – March 2, 2025
Marjorie Ann Traughber, age 88, of Hardin, KY, formerly of Springfield, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at her home. A Catholic Funeral Mass was conducted at 11am Thursday, March 6th, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father Anthony Lopez officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Traughber family actually helped build St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Ms. Traughber was born January 21, 1937, in Springfield, to the late Thomas Traughber, and the late Nannie Lou Adams Traughber. She spent her life being a great mother and homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Traughber was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Carney; 8 sisters, Lucy Burns, Polly Underwood, Elsie Traughber, Ellen Gilbert, Nora Garcia, Mary Traughber, Carolyn Fox, and Christine Binkley; and 5 brothers, Freeman Traughber, Rayburn Traughber, Ed Traughber, Eugene Traughber, and Laurence Traughber.
She is survived by her children, Annita Ziegler, Timothy Carney, David Carney, and Cynthia Akins; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Traughber.
All of the family would like give special recognition to granddaughter, Miranda Denton, great granddaughter, Maria Whitehead, and great grandson, Wyatt Ziegler, who have been Ms. Traughber’s caretakers, along with Annita.

John R. Hamel, age 72 of Madison passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Skyline Medical Center. He was born June 5, 1952 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Russell Kenneth and Margaret Call Hamel. Bro. Hamel served as a Christian minister. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lyn Nickerson Hamel, who died in 2021.

Judy Ann Patterson, age 84 of Ashland City, Tennessee died Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Ashland City.
Mrs. Judy was born on August 7, 1940 in Gipson, Tennessee to the late Wilbur & Pearl Williams Seymour. She retired after 35 years with Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation. She loved to walk, shop, yoga, gardening, flowers, and her fur baby, Daisy. She was a member of Ashland City United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her two children and two grandchildren.
Her wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned.
