One Shot In Springfield Saturday Night

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Springfield Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred just before midnight Saturday.

Police seemed to be focusing their investigation on Carden Circle. Carden Circle joins Industrial Blvd and Reid Rd across from Electrolux at the bend. MAP

Officials tell Smokey Barn News that the victim was a 27-year-old male. He was transported to NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield by a private vehicle following the shooting and around 2:15, Robertson County EMS transferred him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

The gunshot injury was described as an extremity wound. At the time of transport, the patient was stable and is expected to recover with further care.

Several accounts by neighbors on Carden Circle places the number of shots fired at between 15 and 20.

No information has been released on the disposition of a suspect or if anyone is in custody or still at large.
