ORLINDA TENNESSEE: (smokey Barn News) – According to officials in Orlinda, the city’s Mayor, Ricky Stark, has contracted COVID-19 and is recovering at home.

“The City of Orlinda can confirm that in spite of taking all the recommended precautions, 20-year-Mayor Ricky Stark is the latest sufferer of the Covid-19 epidemic sweeping the country,” the city said in a statement to Smokey Barn News.

“The Mayor believes he has already turned the corner to recovery and looks forward to returning to work as soon as possible. He also wants to reassure the community that Vice Mayor Alfred Brickles, City Manager Kevin Breeding, and the other city officials and employees have stepped up to make sure City operations are unaffected by his temporary absence,” said City Manager Kevin Breeding.

“Mayor Stark wishes to thank all those who have expressed concern for him and his family.”

Anyone needing assistance in the meantime should call Orlinda City Hall Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 615-654-3366. Thank you for your concern.
