Overnight Shelter/Hot Meal Will Open For Springfield Residents Affected By Storm
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The City of Springfield will open an overnight emergency shelter for Springfield residents affected by the December 9 tornado. The emergency shelter will be located at The Center, 401 N. Main St, Springfield, TN.
Check-in will begin at 4:00 p.m. on December 10, 2023. In order to access emergency shelter services, people will need to provide identification at check-in.
A hot meal will be provided between 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Sleeping areas and showers will be available. Residents are advised to bring their personal care items, including towels, if possible.
Breakfast will be served to shelter participants at 6:30 a.m. on December 11.
NOTE: Pets will not be permitted at the shelter
