Police Find Another Empty Car Following Rollover In Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, TENN. (Smokey Barn News) – Police find another empty car following a rollover crash in Springfield, the crash obliterating a utility pole leaving, wires strewn across the road Saturday morning.
The crash occurred on Memorial Boulevard directly across from Outlaw Performance, the first call coming into 911 at 8:01 a.m. LOCATION OF CRASH According to officials, the vehicle left the roadway, struck a utility pole with enough force to cut it in half, before rolling over onto its roof in the parking lot of a cemetery.
When emergency crews arrived, they found the vehicle but no driver at the scene. Reportedly, the driver, described as a white female with a heavyset build, red hair, pink pants, and a white shirt, fled on foot before first responders arrived.
The crash temporarily shut down the roadway as crews worked to remove electrical wires. The Springfield Fire Department, Springfield Police Department, and Robertson County EMS responded to the scene, but with no driver present, medical transport was not required.
This incident is part of a recent string of rollover crashes in Robertson County that have resulted in the destruction of utility poles. MORE
