Police Investigating Body Found In Springfield Walmart Parking Lot

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – We have confirmed with officials that a body has been located in the parking lot of WalMart in Springfield.

The body is that of a man in a red pickup located at the back of the parking lot. The body was discovered around 1 pm Thursday afternoon.

Springfield Police are heading up the investigation and at the moment they do not suspect foul play, however, a thorough investigation will have to be conducted to know for sure.

Officials tell Smokey Barn News that the body may have been in the parking lot since Tuesday or possibly as far back as Friday.

The Medical Examiner is in route to the scene to begin the investigation and remove the body.

UPDATE: Body Identified.

During their investigation, Detectives were able to identify the deceased as Samuel Joseph Didominico, 53, of Greenbrier TN.

Foul play is not suspected at this time. Didominico’s body was transported to the Davidson County Medical Examiners and an autopsy will be performed to try to identify the cause of death. The deceased next of kin has been notified. There is no immediate danger to the public.

This is the second body discovered in a vehicle parked at a Walmart Parking lot in Robertson County in the last year. Last March a man was found deceased in the White House WalMart Parling lot. FULL STORY
