Robertson 911 Dispatch Call Center Names New Director

ROBERTSON COUNTY: (Smokey Barn News) –  Following the resignation of Hope Petersen back in January, (full story) the Robertson County 911 Dispatch Center in Springfield has named a new Director.

Peterson joined the 911 call center as the director back on May 1st, 2014. Peterson followed Elvis Wilson who retired after 41 years in public service. FULL STORY Peterson’s last day was January 31st, 2020. Former Springfield Police Chief Mike Wilhoit stepped into the position temporally until a replacement was found.

Now the center has named a new Director,  Rachael Payne was promoted to the position of Director of Robertson County E911 Emergency Communications District on May 2, 2020.

She has worked in emergency communications for the past 17 years. Payne began her career at the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office in 2003 as a Dispatcher. She is a graduate of East Robertson High School and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Austin Peay State University.

Payne stated, “I am honored to have this opportunity. I look forward to the changes and improvements to come to better serve the citizens of Robertson County.”

Jason Pentecost was promoted to the position of Assistant Director of the Robertson County E911 Emergency Communications District on May 2, 2020. He has been in emergency communications for the past 23 years. Pentecost began his career with the Robertson County Sheriffs Office in 1997 as a dispatcher. In 2013 Pentecost served as an Interim Director for the Robertson E911 center.
