Robertson County Schools CLOSED Thursday/Friday
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Due to weather and road safety concerns, Robertson County Schools has decided to close for all students for Thursday and Friday, February 18-19. Daycare will be closed Thursday. Daycare for Friday is still under consideration. District office employees will remain available via email.
“All of our primary and many of our secondary roads look great thanks to the work of our cities and county road crews,” said Chris Causey Director of Schools. “They are definitely to be commended for the work they have done. However, there are a few secondary and many tertiary and quaternary roads that are still quite ice-covered.
“We believe that with the oncoming weather system, these roads will get worse, and not better. Therefore, Robertson County Schools will be closed for the rest of this week for both in-person and virtual students on Microsoft TEAMS.”
Daycare will be closed on Thursday. A decision regarding Friday daycare has yet to be made. The district office will continue to work virtually if needed.
“We hope that with warmer temp this weekend, we will get to see all of our PreK-5 students and our A-K Hybrid students back on Monday with all others joining us online.” Chris Causey Director of Schools
