ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Robertson County Schools will be closed Friday, February 7, 2020 due to potential icy conditions on secondary roads.

*****Before and after care will remain open.

Sumner County Schools:

Sumner County Schools will be closed Friday, February 7, 2020 due to the possibility of inclement weather in the forecast and the potential for icy road conditions and flooding throughout the county. Central Office and Support Services will report one hour late.

Weather Update:

Winter Weather Advisory Tonight And Friday Morning

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for most of Middle Tennessee, the Cumberland plateau including Robertson County, Tennessee.

“We are highly confident snow will fall tonight. The warm and wet ground will cause a lot of it to melt, but air temperatures will fall enough for some accumulations and some slick spots, especially along and north of I-40,” US National Weather Service Nashville Tennessee.

The winter weather advisory is in effect from 9 pm this evening to noon CST Friday.

Snow expected:

Snowfall accumulations expected tonight into Friday morning. Light and drizzle rain is expected to change over to all snow this evening.

Total snow accumulations of one to two inches on the Cumberland plateau and one quarter to one-half inch in the Robertson County area and other portions of middle Tennessee from 9 pm this evening to noon CST Friday.

Impacts:

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute with slick spots on area roads.

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 511.
