Robertson Nursing Facility Implements Unprecedented Move Ahead Of COVID-19

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Waters, a nursing and rehabilitation firm with two facilities in Springfield is making the unprecedented move of transferring all of their patients to one facility allowing the second to act as a COVID-19 treatment quarantine center should the need arise.

According to Suzanne Hogan, Administrator for The Waters facilities, they have no cases of COVID-19 and no one in quarantine, the move is simply preemptive, they want to be ready should the virus penetrate their facility.

The Waters has two facilities in Springfield, The Waters Of Springfield located on 5th Ave near the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office and The Waters of Robertson located on the corner of Watson Rd and Main St.

The move will leave The Waters Of Springfield empty and ready for any COVID-19 patients should the need arise. If all goes well, the facility will remain empty. Hogan tells Smokey Barn News that the 5th Ave facility will be ready to handle about 20 patients should the need arise.

Hogan talked with Smokey Barn News Saturday afternoon to go over the logistics of the move and how families are reacting but, according to Hogan, families are receptive to the move since it’s designed to protect their loved ones. See the full interview above.
