COOPERTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Coopertown Barrel Festival is back and you don’t want to miss the fun. The Festivities are set for Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9am to 1pm at the Coopertown Elementary School (rain or shine).

Coopertown is a beautiful area nestled in middle Tennessee, just 35 minutes from downtown Nashville, about halfway between Clarksville and Nashville.

This family- and pet-friendly Festival began in 2013 with the goal to revive the sense of community and create awareness of Coopertown’s heritage is in the cooperage (barrel-making) industry. The first event was a resounding success and thus began an annual tradition in Coopertown. The 5 Mile Run/Walk was added in 2014 as a way to bring even more people to the area. The Barrel Fest event grew exponentially through 2019, but the event was postponed due to Covid until this year.

This year’s event will kick off with a 5-mile run beginning at 7 am at Coopertown City Hall then as runners finish up the festival opens up at 9 am and runs until 1 pm. All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate! The finishers will receive a participation medal.

Barrel Festival attendees can shop over 70+ local vendors, listen to live music from local artists and enjoy snacks and refreshments from various food trucks. Kids will love playing in the Kid Zone! Limited-edition Barrel Festival apparel and accessories will be available for purchase too.
