Serious Crash Closes Hwy 431 Just Past Lakeview Rd

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a serious crash involving a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle that collided this afternoon on Hwy 431N just past Lakeview Rd. MAP

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is releasing more information about a now fatal crash involving a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle on Hwy 431N at Lakeview Rd. Monday afternoon MAP

According to the THP, Julius Walton, 82, of Springfield, driving a 2015 Ford Focus, lost his life in the crash. MORE- including a video report.

The Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, Robertson County Sheriff’s department, Robertson County EMS and North Robertson Fire are currently on the scene.

The crash is on the Kentucky side of Lakeview Rd so Lakeview Rd/HWY25 is unaffected by the crash but traffic is moving slow.

The crash appears to be a t-bone type crash. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, as soon as they are prepared to release more information we will bring it to you.

The crash occurred around 3pm. Both vehicles are still on the roadway. Hwy 431N will likely be closed for several hours, please choose an alternative route.

This is the second crash at the 431 N/Lakeview Rd intersection in as many days. On Saturday evening four people were transported to area hospitals after two vehicles collided at the 431 N/Lakeview Rd intersection.
