Springfield Man Shot In One Of 2 Drive-By Shootings Sunday
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Springfield Police are hoping the community can help them identify the individual(s) responsible for a drive-by shooting that occurred early Sunday morning.
Police say around 3:23 AM a Springfield man (on foot) was shot in the side near 15th Ave and Bessie St. MAP
According to the victim, (later interviewed at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield) he was walking down 15th Ave when the gunshots occurred and he observed a light-colored car with two black males shooting firearms from the vehicle.
Witnesses near the scene told police that they heard several gunshots outside of their home on 15th Ave W. and came out to find bullet holes in their vehicles. Police confirmed the damage did appear to be consistent with bullet holes.
Police also located several shell casings as well as other evidence at the scene.
