Springfield Police Seek Leads In Local Burglaries
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Springfield Police are hoping the community can help them identify the two men pictured in the video above. On Wednesday, December 20th the two pried the showroom doors open at Gupton Motors located at 3450 Tom Austin Hwy MAP and made their way inside the business.
The suspects were seen on surveillance cameras walking up from behind the business from the direction of Sleepy Hollow Subdivision. Once inside, the suspects forced open several office doors around 11:45 pm and took an undisclosed amount of money from the offices.
The suspects exited the same door and fled on foot in the same direction of the Sleepy Hollow subdivision.
The suspects appear to be two (2) white males with their faces covered. The suspects are also believed to be involved in a second burglary of a business on Tom Austin Hwy that occurred on the same night.
According to a representative with Gupton Motors, none of their vehicles were damaged during the burglary, including the new (in stock) 707 hp, 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds, 180 mph $92,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. MORE
Crime Stoppers of Springfield/Robertson County Board of Directors recently voted to offer a reward amount of $500.00 for information that will lead to arrests of these crimes.
The Board believes that increasing the reward amount may encourage more cooperation and tips from the public.
