Springfield Shooting Claims One In Electrolux Parking Lot

UPDATE: Springfield Police tell Smokey Barn News that suspect’s Dodge Charger was recovered in Springfield Tuesday afternoon about 1.5 miles from the scene. The suspect left the vehicle with an acquaintance and swapped vehicles immediately after the shooting. He fled that residence in a dark-colored 2006 Nissan Xterra.

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) According to officials, the Springfield Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of Electrolux on Industrial Drive in Springfield.

Officials told Smokey Barn News that one person lost their life in the shooting. An official said the victim, an employee of Electrolux, died at the scene.

The shooting took place around 6:45 PM Monday evening in an Electrolux parking lot located on the corner of Industrial Drive and Reid Rd.  Several evidence markers were visible at the scene.

Industrial Drive was closed for several hours while detectives conducted their investigation.

The Springfield Police Department released a statement Monday evening:

The Springfield Police Department, along with Robertson County EMS and Springfield Fire Department were dispatched to a shots fired call for service located in the parking lot of Electrolux 1100 Industrial Drive Springfield, Tennessee.

Officers found the deceased victim, 45-year-old Heather Kirkwood from Clarksville, Tennessee, lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. Springfield Police Department Investigators are currently attempting to locate the suspect, 38-year-old Anthony T. Brown of Dickson, Tennessee.

The suspect fled the scene in a black Dodge Charger. The suspect has an outstanding warrant for 1 st Degree Murder. Any information about the incident or the suspect please contact the Springfield Police Department Detective Andrew Johnson 1-615-384-8422.

Murder Suspect Anthony Brown Captured

Brown, wanted in connection for the murder of 45-year-old Heather Kirkwood from Clarksville, Tennessee has been captured in Mt. Juliet.

Brown was apprehended by Mt. Juliet Police during a traffic stop, according to Springfield Police Chief Jason Head.
