Springfield Teen Raises $15,000 for St. Jude Despite Injury
SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE (SMOKEY BARN NEWS): Addison Harp (16) of Springfield, TN, on Thursday, April 9th, once again went to Parsons, TN, for the St. Jude world’s largest raccoon hunt, but this year it would be different. You may remember Addison. Smokey Barn News has covered her career as a coon hunter/philanthropist for several years now.
After extra hard work that took over a year and a half, she pushed through with a car show, fish fry, bake sale, roadblocks, and a few more events, all for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Due to a foot injury and surgery, she was not able to participate in the hunt, but that didn’t stop her. Mom (Amberlee) says Addison has a heart for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and with hard work, she raised $15k.
She took 1st place for the most sponsorship money donated in 2026. Addison credits her family, friends, and the community for making it this far. Addison’s hard work and dedication will allow St. Jude to run the Blood Donor Center for a full week.
