Teen Dies In Fatal Orlinda Crash Saturday

ORLINDA TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – An Orlinda area crash Saturday has taken the life of a Robertson County teenager.

According to officials, the Saturday afternoon crash took the life of Jordan Lynch, 19, of Orlinda.  Lynch was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred around 3:45 PM. on Highway 52 near E. Robertson Rd in Orlinda. (Location of crash) Officials tell Smokey Barn News that the accident involved one vehicle, a 1998 GMC 4×4 pickup. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the vehicle was traveling East when, for reasons unknown, it left the roadway and impacted a tree head-on.

Lynch’s body has been transported to the Center for Forensic Medicine in Nashville where an autopsy will be performed, officials said.

A THP accident report obtained by Smokey Barn News makes no mention of drugs or alcohol and further states that Lynch was wearing his safety belt.

Funeral services

Funeral services for Jordan Allen Lynch will be conducted Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Milldale Chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Caleb Knecht, Austin Lynch, Tyler Briley, Cody McCloud, Ben McCloud, and Jacob Lynch serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 until 8 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Lynch was born May 6, 1999 in Sumner County. He enjoyed his free time fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by his mother, Holly Diana Briley and grandparents, Charles and Margie Nelson Briley.

He is survived his father, Scott Lynch and step-mother, Sarah of Orlinda; brothers, Caleb Knecht of Spokane, WA, Austin Lynch of Orlinda, Tyler Briley of Adairville, KY, Cody McCloud of Franklin,KY, and Ben McCloud of Franklin; sister, Adrian Lynch of Franklin, KY; and grandparents, Ann Cassetty and husband, Chris of Orlinda, Jerry Lynch and wife, Cheryl of Portland, and Jeff and Pam Taylor of Russellville, KY. Milldale Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
