Teen Escapes Serious Injury After Hwy 76 Rollover Crash

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Hwy 76 was briefly shut down Thursday evening following a single-vehicle rollover crash.

The accident occurred halfway between Springfield and White House on Hwy 76 near Old Distillery Rd just before 10:30 pm. MAP

Officials tell Smokey Barn News that the 16-year-old teen driver escaped serious injury and declined transport. According to radio traffic, first responders with Robertson County EMS come upon the crash just moments after it occurred.

As far as a cause, officials said it was just an accident in a curvy section of Hwy 76. There was no mention that drugs or alcohol played a factor.  Tire marks at the scene suggest that the driver may have overcorrected after drifting onto the shoulder.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol, Robertson County EMS, the Cross Plains Fire Department, the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office and Drake’s Auto Repair all responded to the scene.
