Teen Fatally Struck In Roadway Incident On 431 North
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – An 18-year-old male has died after he was struck by a vehicle on Hwy 431 North Monday morning.
The accident occurred on Hwy 431 North near the top of the county about one mile past Lakeview Rd., the first call coming into 911 around 10:40 am. LOCATION OF ACCIDENT
The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is leading the investigation into the incident but Smokey Barn News has learned that the vehicle involved was a commercial vehicle hauling building materials.
We won’t know anything for sure until the THP releases their preliminary report but from what we have pieced together so far, we are not expecting the driver to be facing any charges relative to the incident.
The teen, who we’re told lived nearby, was pronounced deceased at the scene. As soon as the THP is prepared to release their findings, including the identity of the teen, we will bring it to you.
