SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –  The Springfield Police Department is currently investigating the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy that occurred late Tuesday.

Just before midnight, Springfield police were dispatched to Pine Circle off Central Ave. in regards to a shooting victim. MAP At the scene, police found a deceased 17-year-old male alone in the road.

Within minutes, friends, family, and neighbors gathered around as police officers secured the scene and Robertson County EMS pronounced the teen deceased at the scene. Springfield police officers taped off the area and tried to explain to friends and family that the boy’s body needed to remain untouched so vital evidence could be collected.
