MOTORCYCLIST INJURED IN CRASH

A motorcyclist was injured in the crash on Tom Austin Highway today near Abednego Saturday evening. MAP The crash occurred around 8:00 PM. The rider was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with an injury to his ankle, according to officials. As we understand it, other than the ankle, the rider was otherwise intact. We know the motorcycle landed in the roadway following the crash. No further details were available.

Heat Advisory For Sunday

A Heat Advisory has been issued for tomorrow for most of Middle Tennessee west of the Cumberland Plateau, according to the National Weather Service in Nashville. Afternoon heat indices are expected to reach 105° or greater in the advisory area.

GREENWAY ENTRANCE CLOSED IN SPRINGFIELD
We have a bit of a mystery at the entrance to the Greenway off Main St this morning in Springfield. As of 4:00 AM, a small section of the Greenway from the entrance area leading to the Greenway is blocked off with crime scene tape. MAP Police are on the scene guarding the entrance, but no information has been released about the nature of the situation.
We advise everyone to avoid this area and use caution if you are planning to visit the park or the Greenway. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available from authorities. POWERED BY: Chosen Towing & Recovery
