UNARCO Fire Triggers Evacuation Monday Morning

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – UNARCO Material Handling Inc in Springfield Tennessee MAP was evacuated for about two hours following a fire at the facility Monday morning.

UNARCO is located on 16th Ave East, the first call came into 911 at 9 a.m.  According to Springfield Fire Chief Jeff Glodoski, the fire started in a paint line and channeled up into the roof.

Springfield Firefighters had the fire out in about 10 minutes with another hour addressing hotspots, Glodoski said. According to Robertson County EMS, no injuries have been reported. According to Glodoski, other than the one paint line, the factory should reopen.

According to their website, UNARCO is headquartered in Springfield, Tennessee and is the oldest pallet rack company in the U.S..
