Update: Fugitive Casey Jamison Captured

SUMNER/ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) –  Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, Casey Jamison was taken into custody last night in Cullman, AL.

A Cullman County Deputy spotted a car, that had been reported stolen from Murfreesboro, damaged and parked by the roadside. It still warm to the touch with the door open and keys in the ignition. A K9 was called to the scene and tracked to a nearby utility trailer where Jamison was found cowering underneath, police said.

Cullman deputies located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and have charged him with those offenses in addition to charges related to the stolen vehicle. Once his Alabama offenses are settled, Jamison will be returned to Sumner County to complete his sentence and face the escape charge.

WANTED-Last Seen in Greenbrier

SUMNER/ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, Casey Jamison was granted a brief furlough by the Court to attend the memorial service of his sister in Greenbrier today (Friday) at approximately 1:30 PM.

“Following that visit, Mr. Jamison decided to flee the family members that he had been entrusted to and is now at large.

“Mr. Jamison’s decision to disgrace his sister and family has caused an additional felony warrant for his escape to be filed. He was serving a sentence (nine years in total) for a violation of community corrections with the original charges being theft over $10,000 and evading arrest.”

Jamison’s prior charges include DUI, drug possession, weapons possession, resisting arrest, and various others, according to the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office.

He was last seen in the area of US-41 and Light’s Chapel Road in Greenbrier. It is unknown at this time what clothing Jamison is wearing. He is 5’9″ tall and weighs 135 pounds.
