Vehicle Impaled In Odd Wreck In Springfield Friday
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A vehicle became oddly impaled on a utility pole Friday morning after police say the driver fell asleep, left the roadway and crashed. Fortunately the driver was not injured and there was no one walking on the sidewalk near the crash.
The accident occurred around 5:45am on South Main St near the One Stop Market. MAP. According to officials, the driver will not face charges or be ticketed.
Main St was closed for about two hours while officials cleared the scene and a new utility pole was put into place. There were no reports of significant power outages in the area as a result of the wreck.
