Vehicle Vs House In Springfield, Driver Arrested
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A driver in Springfield was taken into custody Wednesday evening after he crashed his vehicle into a home.
The accident occurred in the 400 block of S Pawnee Dr at N. Brown St just before 8 pm. There were three people inside the home at the time of the crash including a ten-year-old child. The residents of the home told Smokey Barn News that they were eating when they heard what sounded like a bomb and then the entire house shook.
Officials told Smokey Barn News that it appears that the vehicle was on Brown St when the driver failed to negotiate a turn onto Pawnee Dr and crashed into the home but the accident is still under investigation. The impact penetrated the home’s basement causing significant damage. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The Springfield Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, and the Springfield Police Department all responded to the call. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Robertson County Detention Facility in Springfield.
