Three Pets Lost As Fire Devastates Greenbrier Family Home Tuesday

GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A home in Greenbrier sustained heavy damage after a fire that started around 12:30 pm Tuesday afternoon.

The home, located almost dead-center between Greenbrier and White House, sits in the 2800 block of New Hall Rd near the Hall Rd intersection. MAP

Firefighters from the White House Community Volunteer Fire Department,  as well as firefighters from Ridgetop, Greenbrier, Cross Plains, and Millersville (with the assistance of the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency and  Robertson County Emergency Medical Services), made a great effort and were able to save about 50% of the home from fire damage but the home did sustain smoke and water damage throughout. All in all, it was a great stop for our local Firefighters.

A gerbil and one cat did not survive the fire. One dog has yet to be located. It is believed that the dog was outside at the time of the fire but at last report, the dog was still missing. No other injuries were reported and everyone made it out of the home safely.

Update: Copper was found Wednesday morning inside the house. Unfortunately, he did not survive. The family would like to thank everyone for their efforts in searching and kind words.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.

If the family decides to reach out to Smokey Barn News with any needs that they have or if a GoFundMe is set up for them, we will bring it to you.
