3 Hospitalized After T-Bone Crash In Springfield
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, three people, including a 9 year old child, were transported to area hospitals following a t-bone crash that launched one of the vehicles into a near by barn.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Memorial Blvd and William Woodard Dr. around 10:20pm Friday evening. MAP
Though both vehicles suffered significant damage, officials say everyone escaped the crash with only minor injuries.
The T.H.P. is calling the accident a t-bone type collision. The passenger vehicle, carrying one adult and a 9 year old child, was traveling East on William Woodard Dr when it collided with the pickup truck carrying one occupant traveling North on Memorial Blvd. The impact spun the pickup and sent the passenger car into a near by barn.
Memorial Blvd was reduced to one lane and intermittently closed while the T.H.P. conducted their investigation and crews removed the vehicles and cleaned up the scene.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol, The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, Robertson County EMS, North Robertson Fire & Rescue and Springfield Fire all Responded to the crash.
