Man and His Dog Shot in Clarksville Incident

CLARKSVILLE, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – Clarksville Police say a man and his dog were both shot in a Saturday morning incident now under investigation.

Clarksville Police say officers responded to a 911 call after a victim and his wife arrived at Ascension St. Thomas Urgent Care on Ft. Campbell Blvd. with two gunshot wounds. Their dog ran inside the home, and they discovered the animal had been shot, the first call coming into 911 at 10:37 a.m.

Police say the couple then drove along Tobacco Road to look for the shooter and encountered a man walking. When they asked him if he had shot their dog, the suspect allegedly pulled a firearm and shot the man twice, once in the back and a second shot to the leg.

Officers arrived on the scene and located an individual matching the suspect’s description. The suspect, now identified as 30-year-old Roland Reeves, was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and is being held on a $151,000 bond.
