Abandoned Cross Plains Home Destroyed By Fire Monday
CROSS PLAINS TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A Cross Plains area abandoned home was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon and officials are labeling it suspicious.

The home is located on Pleasant Hill Rd near Jimson Rd. (Location of fire) The call came into 911 at 5:52pm. Firefighters from Orlinda and Cross Plains responded to the fire. According to officials, the home had been abandoned for many years and did not have electrical service. Since the home was abandoned and did not have active utilities, the fire is being labeled as suspicious.
This is the second suspicious fire in the Cross Plains area in the last three days. Though it seems unlikely that the two fires would be connected, on Saturday a barn located on on Hwy 49 at the 25 split was also lost to fire. FULL STORY
Like this fire, officials say the barn also had no electrical service and they are still looking for a cause. The two fires are roughly 8 miles apart. See Google distance map below.

The Cross Plains Fire Department, the Orlinda Fire department, Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office and Robertson County EMS all responded to the scene.
