Ann Schneider Announces Candidacy For Springfield Mayor
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Ann Schneider, Springfield Alderman ward 4 and Vice Mayor, is formally announcing her candidacy for Mayor of Springfield.
A lifelong resident of Robertson County, Ann Schneider graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.S. degree in finance. She has worked for over nineteen years in the banking and investment industry as a commercial lender, bank manager and financial advisor.
Having a history of public service, Ann has served as board member of numerous organizations such as the Robertson County YMCA past board chair & board member, past board member of Robertson Co. United Way, and Robertson Co. Chamber of Commerce, where she was president from 2007-2008. Ann has been a member of the Springfield Kiwanis Club since 2003. Ann is also a graduate of Leadership Robertson County and Leadership Middle TN and has served on the board of directors for Leadership Middle TN. She has received awards such as Business Woman of the Year, Young Careerist and Robertson County Times Pacesetter, and Robertson Co YMCA volunteer of the year, twice.
Ann was appointed to the Robertson County Industrial Board in 2010.
Governor Haslam appointed Ann to the Tennessee Local Government Planning Advisory Committee in 2014.
Ann was elected as Springfield Alderman of Ward 4 in 2008 & again in 2012. Elected Vice Mayor in 2013 by the board of Mayor and Alderman.
Ann and her husband, Larry have been married 23 years and are members of Springfield First United Methodist Church where she serves as chairman of Staff Parish committee.
