Candle Suspected: Cedar Hill Home Heavily Damaged in Friday Fire

CEDAR HILL, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – A home in the Cedar Hill area suffered extensive damage after it ignited on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred at a home situated in the 3900 block of Ed Ross Road, approximately 5.6 miles south of downtown Adams. Emergency responders received the first 911 call at 12:53 PM. MAP Upon arrival, firefighters found one side of the residence fully engulfed in flames. Despite swift action by the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, assisted by the Adams Fire Department, the modular structure sustained approximately 50% fire damage.

Fortunately, all occupants were safely evacuated from the premises. Fire Chief P.J. Duncan of the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department indicated that the cause of the fire remains under investigation, with preliminary suspicions pointing towards a candle as a potential ignition source.

Officials told Smokey Barn News that the family has relatives to stay with. If they should decide to reach out to the community with any needs that they have, we will bring it to you.

The Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, the Adams Fire Department, the Robertson County Emergency Management Agency Robertson County EMS, and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the call.
