Former Vols Lineman, Current Business Owner Cory Sullins supports White House ER
WHITE HOUSE, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – Cory Sullins, a White House native and former offensive lineman for the University of Tennessee, is stepping up to support the proposed TriStar Health freestanding emergency room in his hometown.
Now a successful business owner and co-owner of SERVPRO of Sumner County and SERVPRO of Cheatham, Robertson & Dickson Counties, Sullins knows firsthand how vital accessible emergency care is for families and businesses alike.
Sullins’ journey from standout high school athlete at White House High School to playing for the Tennessee Volunteers alongside his twin brother, Cody, shaped much of his life. But after leaving the football field behind, Cory returned to White House, where his roots run deep. Now, as a business owner and father, he feels a personal responsibility to help bring critical healthcare services closer to the growing community.
“I grew up in White House, and my parents still live there,” Sullins said. “They’re getting older, and it would be great to know there’s an ER within five minutes of their house.”
As a business owner, Sullins has also experienced the challenges that come with a lack of nearby emergency care.
“When our office was located in White House three years ago, one of our employees had a mini-stroke while at work,” he recalled. “He couldn’t drive due to his condition, so we drove him to the TriStar Portland ER to get looked at. It would have been great if an ER was located in town. The city definitely needs it.”
For Cory, TriStar Health isn’t just another healthcare provider. It’s where his family has turned to time and again for quality care.
“I’m a big fan of TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. Growing up in White House with two brothers, we’d drive to their ER in Hendersonville to get stitches when accidents happened,” Sullins said. “Within the last seven years, both of my daughters were born at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, and we had great experiences and great care. They definitely provide excellent service.”
With almost eight in ten local ER visits from White House residents already going to TriStar Health facilities, Sullins believes that bringing a freestanding emergency room to the town is long overdue. For him, it’s not just about convenience—it’s about ensuring the community he’s always called home has access to the same high-quality healthcare he’s trusted throughout his life.
As White House and surrounding areas continue to grow, Sullins is standing behind the push for the new ER, hoping it will provide his family, his employees, and his neighbors with better access to the care they need.
