ROBERTSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) –  Chancellor Kimberly Lund was sworn in Friday morning by Judge William R. Goodman after her appointment to the newly created 19th Judicial District Chancery Court, a position established by the General Assembly and Governor Bill Lee last session.

Lund, a Coopertown resident, has served as an Assistant District Attorney in the 19th Judicial District for nearly 20 years. She was appointed to “Part 2” of the Chancery Court, while Chancellor Ben Dean continues to serve in “Part 1.” These designations refer to two divisions within the court, created to share the increasing workload across Montgomery and Robertson counties.

Her appointment is part of Governor Lee’s recent judicial appointments, and she will serve until the August 2026 General Election. Lund was pictured with her husband, Brad Lund, and their two daughters at the ceremony.

Lund earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Kentucky and her juris doctor at Michigan State University College of Law. The 19th Judicial District Chancery Court covers Montgomery and Robertson counties.
