Hoax: Police Seek Water Dept. Employee Impersonator
SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) The City of Springfield has issued a warning after they received a report of an individual who reportedly approached a homeowner and identified themselves as a Springfield Water Department employee.
According to Springfield city officials, the hoaxter asked to enter the home to check the water. 
“The City of Springfield reminds residents that any time city employees need to come to a person’s home or office they will always be wearing proper city-issued uniforms and identification and workers should arrive in a city-marked vehicle. If someone approaches a residence and says they are a city employee but do not have the proper credentials and are not in a city-marked vehicle, please contact the police immediately.”
